Common use of Compensation for Work on a Holiday Clause in Contracts

Compensation for Work on a Holiday. An employee who works on a holiday at the request of the employer and is not approved to take another mutually agreed day off in lieu, shall be paid time and one-half for all hours worked in addition to the holiday provided in Article 20.2.

Compensation for Work on a Holiday. An employee who works is scheduled to work on a holiday at or for alternate schedules, the request of employee’s designated holiday, will be compensated with a paid holiday according to the employer and is not approved to take another mutually agreed day off in lieu, shall be paid employee’s job class plus time and onea half (1-half 1/2) in overtime pay or compensatory time for all hours worked in addition to the holiday provided in Article 20.2regularly scheduled hours.
