Regular Holidays. The following days are established as regular holidays for regular full-time employees and eligible part-time employees (as defined in Section 7 or Section 7.1): (a) January 1 - New Year's Day (b) The third Monday in January - Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx.'s Birthday. (c) The third Monday in February - Washington's Birthday. (d) The last Monday in May - Memorial Day. (e) July 4 - Independence Day. (f) The first Monday in September - Labor Day. (g) November 11 - Veteran's Day. (h) Any November day designated as Thanksgiving Day. (i) The Friday following the day designated as Thanksgiving Day. (j) December 25 - Christmas Day. (k) All other holidays as may be proclaimed by the Governor of the State of California or the President of the United States and adopted by the Board of Supervisors.

Regular Holidays. 1. Regular Hire employees shall be entitled to the following holidays with pay: the first (1st) day of January; the third (3rd) Monday in January; the third (3rd) Monday in February; the last Monday in May; the fourth (4th) day of July; the first (1st) Monday in September; Veterans' Day; Thanksgiving Day; the Friday immediately following Thanksgiving Day; December 25; and every day appointed by the President of the United States or the Governor of the State of California for a public fast, thanksgiving, or holiday if designated as a holiday by the Board of Supervisors. 2. When a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the Friday preceding a Saturday holiday or a Monday following a Sunday holiday shall be deemed to be a holiday in lieu of the day observed. For an employee who does not work a Monday-through- Friday schedule, the day immediately following the employee's two days off shall be deemed to be a holiday in lieu of the day observed. Employees working in twenty- four- (24) hour facilities shall observe the holiday on the actual holiday. 3. December 24 and December 31 shall be observed as half-day (4 hours) holidays if those dates fall on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, and providing that those days are not deemed holidays in accordance with sections XV(A)1 and XV(A)2 above. 4. To be eligible for holiday pay, employees must be in paid status on both the work day before and the work day after the holiday or work the holiday.

December 24 and 31 shall be observed as half-day holidays if those dates fall on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and providing that those days are not deemed holidays above. 4. To be eligible for the holiday pay, employees must be in paid status on both the day before and the day after the holiday.
Regular Holidays. Holidays falling on Saturday or Sunday shall be recognized and paid on those actual days for employees regularly scheduled to work those days. Payment will be made only once for any holiday. Employees who have either: 1. Completed eighteen-thousand seven-hundred and twenty (18,720) hours or more on regular pay status (Article 11.2); or, 2. Are accruing vacation at a rate of .0615 or greater (Article 11.3) on or before December 31st of the current year shall receive an additional two (2) personal holidays for a total of four (4) personal holidays (per Article 12.1) to be added to their leave balance on the pay date of the first full pay period in January of the following year.

If the preceding or succeeding workday is a holiday, then a workday or recess leave day as scheduled by the College shall be observed as the holiday. For the purpose of computing overtime pay, all hours for which an employee is paid under this Section 10.l(a) shall be regarded as hours worked.

Regular Holidays. 1. The following shall be considered holidays: New Year's Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, or the days celebrated by the United States federal government as such. 2. When an Employee is required to work on any of the above- mentioned holidays, he or she shall be paid at the rate of 1 1/2 times the regular straight time rate for his or her regularly assigned daily hours and at double the regular straight time for hours worked in excess of that time. Also, he or she shall be given another day off or an additional day’s pay at straight time rates, at the discretion of the Company, except that the Employee may elect to receive the day’s pay for working on any holiday after July 3 in any calendar year. In no event will the Company assign to any Employee as such an additional holiday a day which falls on either Saturday or Sunday, unless the Employee is regularly scheduled to work Saturday or Sunday.
Regular Holidays. An employee required to work on a day noted in Section 10.1(b) of this Agreement shall be paid for all hours worked at the regular rate in addition to any recess leave pay, or granted a day of leave for each day so worked at the employee’s discretion. An employee "called-in" to work on a holiday noted in Section 10.1(a) of this Agreement, shall receive a minimum of two (2) hours pay at one and one-half (1-1/2) times the employee’s regular rate of pay in addition to holiday pay.
