Compensation for Work on a Holiday. Where an employee is required to work on a paid holiday, as defined in Article 16.01, he will receive compensation equal to two and one-half (2½) times his regular rate, as follows: (a) compensation at time and a half (one and one-half times regular rate), including holiday pay, for the hours worked on the holiday; and (b) time off with pay in lieu of the holiday on an hour-to-hour basis at a mutually acceptable time prior to the end of the calendar month immediately following the month in which the holiday fell.
