Conditions for Released Time for Professional Development. Employees who are given released time for the purpose of career development will be required to work makeup time at the rate of one (1) hour of makeup time for each two (2) hours of released time. Time spent for makeup purposes, which results in an employee being in paid status for a total of more than eight (8) hours in any one (1) day, shall not be considered as authorized and compensable overtime for purposes of cash payment or compensatory time off.
