Cost of Leave. The principles of calculating the cost of total days leave per annum as a percentage of basic salary is normally calculated as follows: Leave cost as percentage of salary =total days leaves x 100 [365-w-ph-v-s] Where w = weekends, ph = public holidays, v = vacation, and s = sick leave. Please note that leave can be considered as a social cost only if the Procuring Entity is not charged for the leave taken.

  • Commencement of Leave Parental leave must commence no later than the first anniversary date of the birth or adoption of the child or of the date on which the child comes into the actual care and custody of the employee. The employee will decide when his or her parental leave is to commence.
