Curriculum and Course Offerings. Under the leadership of the department chair, disciplines within a department shall provide a balanced program of courses which meet the requirements of Xxxxxx Valley College students. Disciplines shall evaluate their offerings, courses of study, and shall make such changes to improve instruction as are within the limits of their authority. The department chair or program director shall: a. Coordinate with discipline faculty to facilitate curriculum development, review, and revision in accordance with established college procedures and state guidelines. b. Present new or revised curriculum or programs as requested by area disciplines within his/her department to the Curriculum Committee or send an appropriate designee. c. The department chair shall coordinate with discipline faculty to facilitate SLO development and complete SLO assessments. This includes preparation of a SLO assessment calendar; distribution of SLO information, and SLO forms for uploading information into a central location to be determined by the District, and SLO rubrics and/or criteria for success. When applicable, chairs shall also provide the same departmental leadership and information to discipline faculty regarding PLOs. Chairs shall also incorporate SLO and PLO planning and evaluation into discussions at regular department meetings as described in Article 21 (H).2 and shall take appropriate actions to improve curricula and programs based on those discussions. d. The chair shall supply adjunct faculty with discipline SLO and, when applicable, PLO information and forms. However, adjunct faculty participation and SLO and PLO assessment assignments are at the discretion of the xxxx and in accordance with the adjunct agreement and/or MOU with the district. e. In multi-discipline departments (more than one TOP Code), the chair is only responsible for duties outlined in Article 21.H.3.c.d. in the discipline in which he/she has the majority of his/her teaching load.

  • Course Materials The adoption of any course materials, print or electronic, after a Course Agreement is signed will require an agreed and signed addendum.

  • Training Courses The Employer shall bulletin any training courses and experimental programs for which employees may be selected. The bulletin shall contain the following information: (a) type of course (subjects and material to be covered), (b) time, duration and location of the course, (c) basic minimum qualifications required for applicants. This bulletin shall be posted for a period of two (2) weeks on bulletin boards in all Departments to afford all interested employees an opportunity to apply for such training. The senior qualified applicant shall be selected.

  • Promotional Probation a. An employee on promotional probation may be failed at any time without right of appeal or hearing, except as provided in C.3., below, and except that failing an employee on promotional probation must not be arbitrary, capricious or unreasonable. b. An employee who fails promotional probation shall receive a performance evaluation stating the reason for failure of promotional probation. c. When an employee fails his or her promotional probation, the employee shall have the right to return to his or her former class provided the employee was not in the previous class for the purpose of training for a promotion to a higher class. When an employee is returned to his or her former class under the provisions of this Section, the employee shall serve the remainder of any uncompleted probationary period in the former class. A regular employee who accepts promotion to a limited-term position, other than at the direction of the employee's agency/department head, shall not have the right to return to his or her former class. d. If the employee's former class has been deleted or abolished, the employee shall have the right to return to a class in his or her former occupational series closest to, but no higher than, the salary range of the class which the employee occupied immediately prior to promotion and shall serve the remainder of any probationary period not completed in the former class.

  • Course Curriculum, Instruction, and Grading X. Xxxx College courses offered as dual credit, regardless of where they are taught, follow the same syllabus, course outline, textbook, grading method, and other academic policies as the courses outlined in the Hill College catalog. B. Approved courses being taught for dual credit must follow the approved master syllabus of the discipline and of Hill College. C. Textbooks should be identical to those approved for use by Hill College. Should an instructor propose an alternative textbook, the textbook must be approved in advance by the appropriate instructional department of Hill College and the Vice President of Instruction. Other instructional materials for dual credit/concurrent courses must be identical or at an equivalent level to materials used by Hill College. D. Courses which result in college‐level credit will follow the standard grading practices of Hill College, as identified by college policy and as identified in the appropriately approved course syllabus. The grades used in college records are A (excellent), B (above average), C (average), D (below average), F (failure), I (incomplete), W (withdrawn), WC (withdrawn COVID). The lowest passing grade is D. Grade point averages are computed by assigning values to each grade as follows: A = 4 points, B = 3 points, C = 2 points, D = 1 point, and F = 0 points. Grading criteria may be devised by Hill College and the ISD to allow faculty the opportunity to award high school credit only or high school and college credit depending upon student performance. E. Faculty, who are responsible for teaching dual credit/concurrent classes, are responsible for keeping appropriate records, certifying census date rosters, providing interim grade reports, certifying final grade reports at the end of the semester, certifying attendance, and providing other reports and information as may be required by Hill College and/or the School District.

  • TECHNOLOGY/KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER ACTIVITIES The goal of this task is to develop a plan to make the knowledge gained, experimental results, and lessons learned available to the public and key decision makers. • Prepare an Initial Fact Sheet at start of the project that describes the project. Use the format provided by the CAM. • Prepare a Final Project Fact Sheet at the project’s conclusion that discusses results. Use the format provided by the CAM. • Prepare a Technology/Knowledge Transfer Plan that includes: o An explanation of how the knowledge gained from the project will be made available to the public, including the targeted market sector and potential outreach to end users, utilities, regulatory agencies, and others. o A description of the intended use(s) for and users of the project results. o Published documents, including date, title, and periodical name. o Copies of documents, fact sheets, journal articles, press releases, and other documents prepared for public dissemination. These documents must include the Legal Notice required in the terms and conditions. Indicate where and when the documents were disseminated. o A discussion of policy development. State if project has been or will be cited in government policy publications, or used to inform regulatory bodies. o The number of website downloads or public requests for project results. o Additional areas as determined by the CAM. • Conduct technology transfer activities in accordance with the Technology/Knowledge Transfer Plan. These activities will be reported in the Progress Reports. • When directed by the CAM, develop Presentation Materials for an Energy Commission- sponsored conference/workshop(s) on the project. • When directed by the CAM, participate in annual EPIC symposium(s) sponsored by the California Energy Commission. • Provide at least (6) six High Quality Digital Photographs (minimum resolution of 1300x500 pixels in landscape ratio) of pre and post technology installation at the project sites or related project photographs. • Prepare a Technology/Knowledge Transfer Report on technology transfer activities conducted during the project. • Initial Fact Sheet (draft and final) • Final Project Fact Sheet (draft and final) • Presentation Materials (draft and final) • High Quality Digital Photographs • Technology/Knowledge Transfer Plan (draft and final) • Technology/Knowledge Transfer Report (draft and final)

  • Third-Party Offerings Dell may offer Third-Party Products for use with the APEX Service through an online marketplace, or using Dell’s then-current Third-Party Product resale programs (e.g. “Extended Technologies Complete”, “Software & Peripherals (S&P)”). Third-Party Products that Distributor orders from Dell through these resale programs are referred to as “Third-Party Offerings”. Distributor may offer Third-Party Offerings to Reseller to offer to Customer for Customer’s use, at Distributor’s option, if available. If Distributor chooses to offer Third-Party Offerings to Reseller for Reseller to offer to Customer for Customer’s use, Distributor, Reseller, and Customer are responsible for complying with any terms applicable to the Third-Party Offerings, including any separate fees imposed by the provider of that Third-Party Offering (whether payable to Dell or directly to the third-party provider).   • Outreach Activities a. The Agency shall conduct outreach activities for potential Clients to promote the availability of services. b. Outreach activities shall include, but are not limited to, participation in health fairs, community events, collaboration with other providers, and the posting of flyers for potential Clients. c. The Agency shall have an outreach plan and shall provide evidence of such arrangements to the Recipient upon request.
