CUSTODIAL, MAINTENANCE & GROUNDS. Overtime shall be paid by separate check. The time card(s) associated with the check shall be copied and supplied to the employee at the time the check is issued.
CUSTODIAL, MAINTENANCE & GROUNDS. A. Custodians, Maintenance and Grounds persons are to work eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week , with two (2) consecutive days off with a one-half (1/2) hour lunch period within the eight (8) hours and shall also be on call during the lunch period, because of the nature of the work.
B. Custodial, Maintenance and Grounds Personnel called in after their normal working hours due to an emergency situation, (i.e. snowstorm, hurricane or other disaster) shall be called in on a seniority rotation basis and will be guaranteed a minimum of two (2) hours pay at their overtime rate. The BOARD shall reimburse any Employee called in for work during a declared “State of Emergency” who receives a citation or traffic violation for being on the roads during a “State of Emergency” only. No other citations will be applicable to this clause.
C. Any Employee, who is out sick, on vacation or personal day, will be skipped over for call in.
CUSTODIAL, MAINTENANCE & GROUNDS. 1. 2. For work other than regular school requirements, custodians shall receive their regular straight time hourly rate for each hour worked for an outside agency.
3. Maintenance personnel are to work eight (8) hours per day with one half (½) hour lunch period within the eight (8) hours and shall be on call during the lunch period, because of the nature of the work, five (5) days per week with two (2) consecutive days off.
CUSTODIAL, MAINTENANCE & GROUNDS. Category A custodial, maintenance, and grounds employees will be provided a start and finish time for their work day from the Director of Facilities. These times will typically be consistent throughout the week, though they may vary on given days due to the schedule (see attached FTE calculation page). • Category B custodial, maintenance, and grounds employees are hired at a Full-time Equivalency (FTE) that is expressed as a decimal number. These employees will work the fraction of days hired in relation to the full 260 contractual work year for the employee. (e.g., a custodian hired at 0.60 FTE is expected to work 0.60 * 260 days = 156 days; these days will typically take on a regular pattern [possibly M, W, F] – but need to total the contracted amount by the year’s end; see attached FTE calculation page.)
CUSTODIAL, MAINTENANCE & GROUNDS. Reference to “custodial employee” shall hereafter refer to all grounds persons, maintenance persons and custodians. The use of a specific title shall refer to that position only.
CUSTODIAL, MAINTENANCE & GROUNDS a. In the event there is a temporary requirement, as determined by a supervisor or the Superintendent, for a reassignment to a lead person, the qualified senior volunteer will be given the temporary assignment.
b. In the event there is no qualified senior volunteer available, the most qualified custodial/maintenance/grounds support staff member will be assigned to the temporary lead position.
c. The custodial/maintenance/grounds support staff member shall be compensated for the reassignment with a stipend of four (4) dollars per day.
