Daily Rest Period on Distant Location. (1) The daily rest period shall be nine (9) hours on distant location. If the daily rest period is invaded by no more than one (1) hour, the employee shall be paid additional straight time for all such invaded time. If the daily rest period is invaded by more than one (1) hour, then the penalty shall be as provided in this Paragraph 41(c) and Paragraph 44(c).

Daily Rest Period on Distant Location. “(1) Rest periods following dismissal shall be eight (8) hours on distant location. The daily rest period shall be nine (9) hours on distant location. If the daily rest period is invaded by no more than one (1) hour, the employee shall be paid additional straight time for all such invaded time. If the daily rest period is invaded by more than one (1) hour, then the penalty shall be as provided in Article 22(b) above.

  • Paid Rest Periods All Employees shall be given a paid rest period of fifteen (15) minutes in the first and second half of their daily shift in an area made available by the Employer. If mutually agreed to between the parties, the two (2) rest periods shall be combined.

  • Rest Period After Overtime (a) When overtime work is necessary, it will, wherever reasonably practicable, be so arranged that employees have at least 10 consecutive hours off duty between the work of successive days or shifts, including overtime.

  • Rest Period An employee who works overtime shall have at least a ten hour rest period between the end of ordinary hours on any one day and start of ordinary hours on the next day. If on the instructions of the employer, the employee resumes or continues work without having had 10 consecutive hours off duty, the employee shall be paid double time until he or she is released from duty for ten hour rest period. The employee shall then be entitled to be absent without loss of pay for ordinary working hours occurring during the ten hour rest period. In the case of shift workers, eight hours shall be substituted for ten hours when overtime is worked:

  • Meal/Rest Periods All nurses shall receive an unpaid meal period of one-half (1/2) hour. Nurses required to remain on duty or in the Hospital during their meal period shall be compensated for such time at the appropriate rate of pay. All nurses shall receive one (1) fifteen

  • Lunch and Rest Periods A. Each employee working more than four (4) hours per day shall be entitled to a minimum of one-half (1/2) hour duty free lunch period without pay.

  • Meal Breaks and Rest Periods 7.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 7.2 below, no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being entitled to a meal break of not less than half an hour. There will be only one meal break of not less than half an hour during a 10 hour shift.

  • Meal Periods and Rest Periods (a) Regular hours of work shall include, as scheduled by the Employer, two (2) rest periods of fifteen (15) minutes during each shift of seven and three- quarter (7 3/4) hours and exclude an unpaid meal period of not less than thirty (30) minutes.

  • Additional Rest Periods When an employee performs authorized overtime work of at least three (3) hours duration, the Hospital will schedule a rest period of fifteen (15) minutes duration.
