DAYS AND HOURS OF WORK AND OVERTIME. 4.01 Hours Per Day and Per Week a) The regular hours of work shall not exceed forty (40) hours per week and eight (8) hours in a shift. Employees' days off shall be consecutive as far as is possible. In any dispute as to the necessity of departing from the pattern of two (2) consecutive days off, it shall be the responsibility of the Company to show that such departure is necessary to meet service requirements. b) An employee will not be scheduled to work more than five (5) days in a work week. More than seven (7) consecutive days in two (2) work weeks may be scheduled if requested by the employee. The eighth (8th) and ninth (9th) shift shall be paid at double (2 x) the regular rate of pay.
