Death in Immediate Family. Leave of absence with pay because of death in the immediate family of a regularly scheduled person in the County service may be granted by the Agency/Department Head for a period not to exceed three days. Except for employees in the classification of Juvenile Institutional Officer Intermittent, an additional two days leave may be granted by the Agency/Department Head and charged to the employee's accrued sick leave balance in the event that one-way travel in excess of 300 road miles from the employee's residence is required.
