Common use of Deduct Days Clause in Contracts

Deduct Days. With the approval of the Director of Human Resources, an employee may have one (1) day away from work with the actual cost of the substitute teacher being deducted from his/her wages. A deduct day will not be approved unless the employee has exhausted his/her personal leave and will only be approved for good cause and has approval from the building administrator.

To receive the substitute rate all requests will need to be submitted prior to the date of the scheduled deduct day, and no deduct time at the substitute rate will be approved after the scheduled day has passed. A deduct day will not be approved unless the employee has exhausted his/her personal leave and will only be approved for good cause and has approval from the building administrator.
