Deemed Time of Giving. All such notices or communications shall be deemed to have been duly given or made: (a) if sent by email, at the time the email leaves the communications system of the sender, provided that the sender: (i) does not receive any error message relating to the sending of the email at the time of sending; and (ii) has obtained confirmation that the email has been delivered to the recipient (which confirmation may be in the form of an automated delivery receipt from the communications system of the recipient), on the business day on which it is dispatched or, if dispatched after 5.00 p.m. (in the place of receipt) on the next business day after the date of dispatch. (b) four days after being deposited in the mail by the sender with all postage prepaid; (c) on delivery when delivered by hand or on behalf of the sender; (d) if sent by facsimile, when a completed transmission report is received by the sender unless a verifiable query as to material illegibility is promptly raised.

(ii) In the event of an Employee remaining at work after the usual ceasing time without taking the crib time of twenty minutes and continuing at work for a period of two hours or more, he/she shall be regarded as having worked twenty minutes more than the time worked and be paid accordingly.

  • Daylight Savings Time Employees required to work more than eight (8) hours on an eight (8) hour shift or more than ten (10) hours on a ten (10) hour shift due to the change from daylight savings time to standard time shall be paid for the additional hour worked at the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2). Employees required to work less than eight (8) hours on an eight (8) hour shift or less than ten (10) hours on a ten (10) hour shift due to the change from standard time to daylight savings time shall be paid for the actual hours worked. Employees may use vacation time or compensatory time to make up for the one (1) hour lost. Employees in the first six (6) months of employment who would be eligible to accrue vacation, may be advanced one (1) hour of vacation time which shall either be deducted from their vacation leave balance, or deducted from their last paycheck if the employee is separated prior to accruing vacation.

  • Rate and Time of Payment Unless otherwise specified, Buyer shall make payment to Seller for the goods within 30 days after the goods are received by Buyer.

  • Minimum Call-Back Time All employees who are called out and required to work in an emergency outside their regular working hours shall be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours at overtime rates and shall be paid from the time they leave home to report for duty until the time they arrive back upon proceeding directly from work.
