Default Service. Supply service provided by the Distribution Utility to customers who are not currently receiving service from a Competitive Supplier. Residential and small commercial consumers within the Municipality that receive Default Service, and have not opted out, will be enrolled in the Program as of the Effective Date.

Default Service. Electricity is an essential service, and there is a risk in a competitive market that some customers will find themselves unable to secure a Competitive Supplier or they may temporarily be between suppliers. To assure universal service and system integrity, Default Service will be available to customers who are not receiving energy from a Competitive Supplier and who are not eligible for Transition Service. Default Service shall be acquired in accordance with RSA Chapter 369-B for the period of time that Transition Service is available to any customer class; thereafter, auctions to procure service for subsequent periods will be conducted at such times and on such terms and conditions as the PUC may require. Default Service shall be provided pursuant to terms and conditions established by the PUC. The administrative cost to acquire, bill and manage Default Service will be recovered as provided by statute. The price of Default Service shall be the weighted average of all successful bids. However, during the period when Transition Service is available, in no event shall the price of Default Service to the customer be less than the Transition Service prices, unless otherwise ordered by the PUC, and any differential will be used to defray Non-Securitized Stranded Costs as provided in Part 3 of the SCRC.

Default Service. 15.1 Default Service is the supply service provided by the Company for Customers not electing to subscribe to Supplier Service and shall be provided by the Company or its designated supplier in accordance with tariffs approved by the MDPU. Each Customer receiving Default Service shall receive one bill from the Company reflecting unbundled charges for services.
Default Service. In the event any service rendered or deliverable provided by Contractor in the performance of this Contract should fail to conform to the specifications therein, the County may reject same, and it shall become the duty of the Contractor to reclaim and remove the items without expense to the County and to immediately replace all such rejected services with others conforming to such specifications provided that should the Contractor fail, neglect or refuse to do so, the County shall have the right to purchase on the open market a corresponding level of services and to deduct from any monies due or that may thereafter become due to the Contractor the difference between the price specified in this Contract and the actual cost to the County. In the event the Contractor shall fail to make prompt delivery as specified of any service or deliverable, the same conditions as to the rights of the County to purchase on the open market and to reimbursement set forth above shall apply, except as otherwise provided in this Contract. In the event of the cancellation of this Contract, either in whole or in part, by reason of the default or breach by the Contractor, any loss or damage sustained by the County in procuring any services or deliverables which the Contractor agreed to supply under this Contract shall be borne and paid for by the Contractor
