Common use of Disability Leave of Absence Clause in Contracts

Disability Leave of Absence. State Disability Income Protection (SDI) Leave When an employee is on leave of absence and is receiving State Disability Insurance (SDI) benefits, in addition to the period of time for which Court contributions to health insurance continue as a result of the employee's use of twenty (20) hours or more sick leave per pay period, he/she shall receive one additional month of Court paid medical insurance for the employee only for every eighty (80) hours of sick leave accrual balance he/she had as of the first day of continuous absence resulting from the condition which qualifies him/her for SDI benefits.
