Disaster Programs. The following programs are authorized under Titles IV and V of the Xxxxxxxx Act. Public Assistance Program (PA) The Xxxxxxxx Act authorizes federal assistance for state, territorial, Tribal, local governments, and certain private non-profit organizations to respond to emergencies and to respond to and recover from major disasters. FEMA has administratively combined these authorities under the umbrella of its Public Assistance Program. The range of assistance under the program includes direct services and financial assistance for emergencies, including evacuation, sheltering, and debris removal, financial assistance for permanent restoration of disaster-damaged facilities, and emergency transportation and communications assistance. Individual Assistance Programs (IA) These programs help to ensure that individuals and families that have been affected by disasters have access to the full range of FEMA assistance including: crisis counseling (Section 416); disaster legal services (Section 415); unemployment assistance (Section 410); food coupons (Section 412); funeral services, minor home repairs and temporary housing assistance (Section 408); and case management (Section 426). It should be noted that other Federal agencies provide disaster assistance programs, services, and activities to individuals as well, including the U.S. Small Business Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and U.S. Department of Labor, but these other assistance programs are not subject to the terms of this Agreement.

Advance of Nonfederal Share The Xxxxxxxx Act and its implementing regulations authorize FEMA to advance or loan to a state, tribal government, local government, or applicant the portion of PA for which the state or tribal government is responsible pursuant to the cost-sharing provisions of the Xxxxxxxx Act. Community Disaster Loan Program The Xxxxxxxx Act authorizes FEMA to make community disaster loans to help local governments that have incurred significant revenue losses due to a presidentially declared major disaster if necessary for a local government to perform its governmental functions Fire Management Assistance Grant Program (FMAG) The FMAG is available to State, Tribal, and local governments for the mitigation, management, and control of fires on publicly or privately-owned lands. Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) The HMGP provides grants to States, Territories, Tribes, local governments, and private nonprofit organizations to implement long-term hazard mitigation measures after a Declaration.   • Xxxxx Disaster Protection In accordance with the requirements of the Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973 (42 U.S.C. 4001), the Subrecipient shall assure that for activities located in an area identified by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as having special flood hazards, flood insurance under the National Flood Insurance Program is obtained and maintained as a condition of financial assistance for acquisition or construction purposes (including rehabilitation).

  • Disaster Services In the event of a local, state, or federal emergency, including natural, man- made, criminal, terrorist, and/or bioterrorism events, declared as a state disaster by the Governor, or a federal disaster by the appropriate federal official, Grantee may be called upon to assist the System Agency in providing the following services:

  • Other Programs The Executive will, during his employment under this Agreement, be included to the extent eligible thereunder in all employee benefit plans, programs or arrangements (including, without limitation, any plans, programs or arrangements providing for retirement benefits, incentive compensation, profit sharing, bonuses, disability benefits, health and life insurance, or vacation and paid holiday) which may be established by the Company for, or made available to, its executives generally.

  • Disaster Recovery Plan Contractor agrees that upon request of System Agency, Contractor shall provide copies of its most recent business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

  • Flood Disaster Protection This contract is subject to the requirements of the Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973 (P.L.93-234). Nothing included as a part of this contract is approved for acquisition or construction purposes as defined under Section 3(a) of said Act, for use in an area identified by the Secretary of HUD as having special flood hazards which is located in a community not then in compliance with the requirements for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program pursuant to Section 201(d) of said Act; and the use of any assistance provided under this contract for such acquisition for construction in such identified areas in communities then participating in the National Flood Insurance Program shall be subject to the mandatory purchase of flood insurance requirements or Section 102(a) of said Act. Any contract or agreement for the sale, lease, or other transfer of land acquired, cleared or improved with assistance provided under this Contract shall contain, if such land is located in an area identified by the Secretary as having special flood hazards and in which the sale of flood insurance has been made available under the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968, as amended, 42 U.S.C. 4001 et seq., provisions obligating the transferee and its successors or assigns to obtain and maintain, during the ownership of such land, such flood insurance as required with respect to financial assistance for acquisition or construction purposes under Section 102(a) of Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973.

  • Insurance Programs 1. The District agrees to provide a program of life, medical and dental insurance benefits for teachers. The District shall offer each employee a choice between the following two (2) programs of medical and health care:

  • Mentor Program a. Each new Bargaining Unit Member (first year employee) shall be assigned a mentor. An exception may be made, as determined by the Superintendent, for new part-time Bargaining unit Members of whom have prior service in the same program operated by the Board. The mentor shall assist the new Bargaining Unit Member in general teaching procedures, techniques, classroom planning and organization, school functions and regulations and other areas of professional growth and development. The Association President in collaboration with the Lead Mentor/Resident Educator Coordinator and appropriate Directors shall submit nominations of three (3) qualified staff members to the Superintendent, after obtaining the candidates’ permission. The Superintendent may elect to nominate one of the candidates to the Board of Education for assignment, or ask the Association President and Lead Mentor/Resident Educator Coordinator for additional nominations.

  • Other Program Requirements A. The Developer agrees to adopt affirmative marketing procedures and requirements and prepare a written Affirmative Marketing Plan for projects containing five or more HOME-assisted units. The Affirmative Marketing Plan must be available for public inspection in the Developer’s office. The plan must contain specific steps and actions that the Developer will take to provide information and otherwise attract eligible persons for all racial, ethnic, and gender groups in the housing market area to the available housing. Specific activities that must be included in the Developer’s Affirmative Marketing Plan include:

  • Disaster Recovery PFPC shall enter into and shall maintain in effect with appropriate parties one or more agreements making reasonable provisions for emergency use of electronic data processing equipment to the extent appropriate equipment is available. In the event of equipment failures, PFPC shall, at no additional expense to the Fund, take reasonable steps to minimize service interruptions. PFPC shall have no liability with respect to the loss of data or service interruptions caused by equipment failure, provided such loss or interruption is not caused by PFPC's own willful misfeasance, bad faith, gross negligence or reckless disregard of its duties or obligations under this Agreement.

  • Insurance Program An eligible employee may waive rights to participate in either single or family coverage. If an employee waives this benefit, such employee may not revoke the waiver until the next open enrollment period and may be accepted only after medical review by the insurance provider.
