Discretionary (Non-Compliance or Employee Requested) Training. (a) Employees who travel for discretionary training on a work day or a day of rest shall be compensated up to a maximum of 7 ½ hours at a straight time rate of pay. (b) Employees who travel on a scheduled working day whenever possible shall travel on company time with company vehicles. If company vehicles are unavailable, the employees will be compensated with the mileage rate designated in Marginal Paragraph 18.02 for use of private vehicles. (c) Prior to undertaking training, mutual agreement must be reached for those employees wishing to obtain overnight accommodations rather than travel excessive hours outside their scheduled working day.

  • Employee Training The Provider shall provide periodic security training to those of its employees who operate or have access to the system. Further, Provider shall provide LEA with contact information of an employee who LEA may contact if there are any security concerns or questions.

  • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers. 2. Regular review of its job-related and career development and training programs will be made by the State in order to provide suitable programs for employees covered by this Agreement. When undertaking any such review, the State shall notify employees of such review and take into account suggestions and proposals made by employees. 3. Employees shall be given a reasonable notice of applicable, development and training programs available. Such notice shall include an explanation of the procedure for applying for the program. Notices of development and training programs shall be posted for reasonable periods in advance on bulletin boards at applicable work locations within the agencies involved. An appointing authority shall make every effort to permit employees' participation in such career development and training programs. Participation in any training inside or outside of work hours which is required by the State as a condition of fulfilling the requirements of the employee's job, or any in-service State training which is conducted or undertaken during normally scheduled work hours will be considered as time worked. 4. The State shall pay tuition, course-related fees, other approved course required costs and for necessary travel and lodging pursuant to established policies and procedures.

  • Employee Removal At District’s request, Contractor shall immediately remove any Contractor employee from all District properties in cases where the District in its sole discretion determines that removal of that employee is in the District’s best interests.

The District shall conduct investigations of employee reports and take appropriate measures as soon as possible. The employee shall be informed by the principal or designee of the results of the investigation and of whatever action is to be taken. Safety violations will be corrected within ten (10) working days whenever possible. C. Teachers shall not be required to work under unsafe conditions or to perform tasks which endanger their health and safety. D. First aid supplies and first aid treatment shall be available to employees at each school site. A first aid kit shall be provided for each District vehicle used to transport pupils and shall be taken on all field trips. E. Personal protection equipment required by an employee's job duties shall be available from the principal or designee at each school site. F. An employee shall immediately report any assaults in connection with his/her employment to the principal or immediate supervisor who shall report the incident to the appropriate law enforcement agency and the District Office. 1. An employee may exercise the same degree of physical control over a pupil that a parent would be legally privileged to exercise, but which in no event shall exceed the amount of physical control reasonably necessary to maintain order, protect property, or protect the health and safety of pupils. 2. An employee shall receive applicable insurance and leave benefits for any injury incurred under the provisions of this Paragraph. 3. Employees shall be reimbursed for damage to personal property resulting from assault under the provisions of this Paragraph. 4. When the continued presence of a pupil in a class represents a physical danger to a teacher, the teacher may request that the principal institute suspension procedures in accordance with District policy. 5. The District's "Student Discipline Policy" shall be made available to employees.
