Discretionary Training Clause Samples

The Discretionary Training clause grants one party, typically the employer, the authority to determine whether and when training opportunities are provided to employees. In practice, this means that the employer is not obligated to offer specific training programs or sessions, and may choose to provide training based on business needs, employee performance, or available resources. This clause ensures flexibility for the employer in managing training resources and avoids creating a contractual obligation to deliver training, thereby reducing potential disputes over entitlements.
