Common use of Discretionary Personal Leave Clause in Contracts

Discretionary Personal Leave. (“Personal Days of Absence”) Each teacher shall be allowed three (3) paid days per year, for personal business, with no reasons needing to be given. Notice to the teacher’s supervisor that personal leave is to be taken shall be made at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance (except in the case of an emergency). No personal leave shall be taken before or after a vacation or holiday except in unusual circumstances as approved by the teacher’s supervisor.
