The Board, Administration, and Association believe that educators need to be able to teach without disruptions from disorderly students and are in full support of teachers, principals, and school staff in their duties to operate safe, orderly schools and classrooms under reasonable rules governing school conduct. Appropriate disciplinary measures should be assessed to students when students make false allegations against an employee that have an affect or impact on the teacher’s employment. DISRUPTIVE STUDENT BEHAVIOR. A Faculty member may require that a student exit the classroom, laboratory, or other area used for instruction for the remainder of the class period when a student engaged in persistent misconduct which unduly disrupts instruction. Faculty members who impose a one-day suspension shall promptly report the incident to the academic Associate Xxxx.
DISRUPTIVE STUDENT BEHAVIOR. When, in the professional judgment of a bargaining unit member, a student is by their behavior seriously disrupting school activity or instruction to the detriment of other students, the bargaining unit member shall follow the level of responses outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.
