District Expectations. 1. The school will provide orientation for both parents and students on the expectations and provide training for the Edgenuity platform.

Xxxxxx Public Schools will develop an application and readiness process which will help students and parents make an informed decision about choosing to enroll in an online course. • Xxxxxx Public Schools will ensure that a school guidance counselor, student mentor, or school administrator will meet with each parent and student to discuss the decision to enroll in an online course. We will further discuss and determine the appropriateness of the online course(s) with the student’s graduation plan. • Xxxxxx Public Schools will translate the online learning course score provided by the online course instructor into a grade and include this grade on the student’s transcript. • If the student has an active Section 504 Accommodations Plan or IEP, Xxxxxx Public Schools will help determine if the accommodations and support can be delivered virtually or would have to be modified.
District Expectations. Students and parents can expect the following from the district and its employees: ● A school administrator/counselor will contact each parent and student to discuss their decision and determine the remote learning schedule and expectations required. ● Letter grades will be applied to transcripts, consistent with face-to-face learning environments. Courses will not be P/F. ● If the student has an active 504 Plan or IEP, the district will help determine if the accommodations and support can be delivered remotely or will need to be modified. Students and parents fully acknowledge that success is a cooperative effort between the students, parents and district. I understand my student is expected to complete all assigned work and return it to the teacher in the time required. I further understand that failure to complete work assigned may result in failure of classes. No credit will be earned in grades 9-12 for failed classes. Parent/Guardian Date Student Date
District Expectations. In the maintenance of a sound learning environment, the District shall expect acceptable behavior on the part of all students who attend school in the District. It is the responsibility of each employee to maintain discipline within the classroom or work station. Such discipline shall be consistent with applicable federal and state laws and District regulations and policies. Each building’s disciplinary procedures will be arrived at through cooperative efforts of the administration, staff, parents, and students with the recommended policy and procedures submitted to the Board for final approval.
