District Oversight. If the District has cause to suspect sick leave abuse, or if the District wants to verify that a teacher is sufficiently well to perform teaching duties, the District may require a licensed health care provider's statement, e.g., when sick leave is used in conjunction with weekends or vacation periods or during parent-teacher conferences. In accordance with 4 AAC 15.040, a false statement by a teacher regarding sick leave is sufficient grounds for cancellation of a teacher's contract and recommendation for revocation of his/her teaching certificate.

District Oversight. (Delegated) Projects
District Oversight. A. The District’s Executive Director of Human Resources and Community Relations will be responsible for ensuring the District’s compliance with this Agreement and applicable Federal civil rights laws. The Executive Director of Human Resources and Community Relations will monitor compliance with this Agreement; coordinate the District’s submission of reports to the United States; ensure consistency of all District- wide and school-level policies, trainings, and related materials regarding harassment, intimidation, and bullying discrimination, and communications with LEP parents/guardians; provide and publicize updated information on a periodic basis to all B. At each school in the District, a designated employee (“Designated School Coordinator”) will serve as the primary point of contact for, and coordinate the school- level investigation and response to, all incidents and/or complaints of harassment, intimidation, and bullying discrimination. Each such employee will be responsible for ensuring a prompt, effective, and appropriate response to all such incidents or complaints and for ensuring that each incident is appropriately logged in the District’s electronic database. C. The Designated School Coordinators at Decatur High, Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx High, Valhalla Elementary, Lake Xxxxxxx Elementary, and TAF @ Saghalie schools will provide quarterly written reports to the Executive Director of Human Resources and Community Relations describing all incidents of and/or complaints received by the school regarding bullying and harassment, and a description of the school’s response to each such incident or complaint. D. The Executive Director of Human Resources and Community Relations will conduct reviews of all quarterly reports and all school-level investigations and resolutions of student conduct that may constitute harassment to ensure Decatur High, Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx High, Valhalla Elementary, Lake Xxxxxxx Elementary, and TAF @ Saghalie schools’ compliance with the District’s policies and tracking and monitoring procedures and to ensure that the school has responded in a prompt, effective, and appropriate manner to all incidents and/or complaints of bullying, harassment, or discrimination. In its annual report to the United States, see paragraph VIII.A, the District will provide a summary of its findings from these reviews, including a description of all follow-up actions taken by the District to address problems or concerns identified during the review process.

  • District Responsibilities With respect to all sums deducted by the District pursuant to authorization of the employee, whether for membership dues or equivalent fees, the District agrees promptly to remit such monies to the Association together with an alphabetical list of unit members for who such deductions have been made, categorizing them as to membership or non-membership in the Association, and indicating any changes in personnel from the list previously furnished.

  • Responsibilities of the City The City’s Contract Manager will be responsible for exercising general oversight of the Contractor’s activities in completing the Scope of Work. Specifically, the Contract Manager will represent the City’s interests in resolving day-to-day issues that may arise during the term of this Contract, shall participate regularly in conference calls or meetings for status reporting, shall promptly review any written reports submitted by the Contractor, and shall approve all invoices for payment, as appropriate. The City’s Contract Manager shall give the Contractor timely feedback on the acceptability of progress and task reports.

  • DISTRICT RIGHTS 4.1 It is understood and agreed that the District retains all of its powers and authority to direct, manage and control to the full extent of the law. Included in, but not limited to, those duties and powers are the exclusive right to: determine its organization; direct the work of its employees; determine the times and hours of operation; determine the kinds and levels of service to be provided, and the methods and means of providing them; establish its educational policies, goals and objectives; insure the rights and educational opportunities of students; determine staffing patterns; determine the number and kinds of personnel required; maintain the efficiency of District operation; determine the curriculum; build, move or modify facilities; establish budget procedures and determine budgetary allocation; determine the methods of raising revenue; contract out work as legally allowed under the Education and Government Codes; and take action on any matter in the event of an emergency. In addition, the District retains the right to hire, assign, evaluate, promote, layoff, terminate and discipline employees. 4.2 The exercise of the foregoing powers, rights, authority, duties and responsibilities by the District, the adoption of policies, rules, regulations and practices in furtherance thereof, and the use of judgment and discretion in connection therewith, shall be limited only by the specific and express terms of this Agreement, and then only to the extent such specific and express terms are in conformance with law. 4.3 The District retains its right to amend, modify or suspend policies and practices covered in this Agreement in emergency circumstances. Examples of emergency circumstances are physical catastrophe and acts of nature. Such changes, if any, will remain in effect only for the duration of the emergency. All grievance time lines expressly set forth in the Agreement will be held in abeyance while the contract is suspended. 4.4 The exercise of any right reserved to the District herein in a particular manner or the non- exercise of any such right shall not be deemed a waiver of the District's right or preclude the District from exercising their rights. 4.5 Any dispute arising out of or in any way connected with either the existence of or the exercise of any of the above described rights of the District is not subject to the grievance provisions set forth in this Agreement unless such dispute is otherwise grievable under another Article of the Agreement.
