Field kit epoxy shall be applied to all cut pipe. Pipe shall be laid with xxxx ends facing uphill. For connection of mechanical joints, the socket, plain end of each pipe and gasket shall be cleaned of dirt before joining, and shall be joined according to manufacturer's directions. Bolts shall be tightened alternately at top, bottom and sides, so pressure on gasket is even. When metallic pipes are installed in locations of active or abandoned sewer drain fields, the metallic pipe shall be wrapped using American V-Bio Poly Encasement or equal and the pipes bedded and covered with 6” of clean, imported material.
Ductile Iron Pipe. Installation and joining of ductile iron pipe shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of ANSI/AWWA C600, latest revision, and with the requirements of these Specifications. Ductile iron pipe shall be installed so as to conform to the alignment and grade shown on the Drawings. If other utilities, pipe, cables, conduits. etc., are encountered they shall be handled as described in these Specifications. Ductile iron pipe shall be laid so that the invert elevations will correspond to those shown on the Drawings for the particular stations along the pipe line; and the difference in elevation between any two consecutive grade points (elevation control points or stations) shall be uniformly and proportionately distributed between the pipe lengths comprising the section of pipe line between such control points. The maximum deflection for a particular size and length of pipe shall be in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. Proper and suitable tools and appliances for handling of the pipe shall be used. The bottom of the trench shall be prepared as described in these Specifications. Each piece of pipe or fitting shall be cleaned and carefully examined for defect. No defective pipe or fittings shall be used. Open ends of the unfinished pipe line shall be securely closed when the work is stopped temporarily at night or other times.
Ductile Iron Pipe. A. Ductile iron pipe shall be manufactured in accordance with ANSI/AWWA C151/A21.51. All pipe, except specials, shall be furnished in nominal lengths of 18 to 20 feet. Sizes will be as shown on the Drawings. All pipe shall have a minimum pressure rating as indicated in the following table and corresponding minimum wall thickness, unless otherwise specified or shown on the Drawings: Pipe Sizes (inches) Pressure Class (psi) 4 - 12 350 14 - 18 350 20 300 24 250 30 - 64 200 B. Flanged pipe minimum wall thickness shall be equal to Special Class 53. Flanges shall be furnished by the pipe manufacturer.
Ductile Iron Pipe. A. Ductile iron pipe shall have push-on joints, cement lining, bituminous exterior coating, and conform to AWWA C104, C111 and C151. Unless otherwise noted on the Drawings or in the bid proposal, provide Class 350 pipe for 4-inch to 20-inch diameter and Class 250 for 24-inch diameter and larger in accordance with AWWA C150. Provide restrained pipe joints and install polyethylene wrap where indicated on the Drawings or as indicated on the bid proposal.

  • Integrated Digital Loop Carriers The feeder portion of some loops may be provide by means of Integrated Digital Loop Carrier (IDLC). IDLC provides a fiber optic cable transmission path that travels directly into BellSouth’s central office local switch. Where BellSouth uses IDLC ,if technically feasible and capacity does exist, BST will provide Al-Call with a Designed DS0 UVL by using alternative provisioning techniques including but not limited to such as “hairpinning” and DAC grooming. Alternative provisioning techniques will be provided at no additional cost to Al-Call . Hairpinning involves providing a DS0 signal from an IDLC-served loop to Al-Call ’s collocation equipment by using a dedicated pathway that traverses BellSouth’s central office switch. BellSouth will provide such DS0 signal to Al-Call by establishing a copper cross connect between the BellSouth switch and Al-Call ’s collocation equipment.

  • Unbundled Sub-Loop Concentration System (USLC 2.9.1 Where facilities permit and where necessary to comply with an effective Commission order, BellSouth will provide <<customer_name>> with the ability to concentrate its sub-loops onto multiple DS1s back to the BellSouth Central Office. The DS1s will then be terminated into <<customer_name>>’s collocation space. TR-008 and TR303 interface standards are available.

  • Irrigation Systems The Project Area either has no irrigation system or a low-volume drip irrigation system. If a watering system is used, it is a drip irrigation system equipped with a filter, pressure regulator and emitters rated at twenty (20) gallons per hour (gph) or less. The system is maintained free of leaks and malfunctions. No spray irrigation is applied to the Project Area, including spray from irrigation systems adjacent to the Project Area.

  • Loop Provisioning Involving Integrated Digital Loop Carriers 2.6.1 Where InterGlobe has requested an Unbundled Loop and BellSouth uses IDLC systems to provide the local service to the End User and BellSouth has a suitable alternate facility available, BellSouth will make such alternative facilities available to InterGlobe. If a suitable alternative facility is not available, then to the extent it is technically feasible, BellSouth will implement one of the following alternative arrangements for InterGlobe (e.g. hairpinning):
