Dues Deduction. The City also agrees shall remit the deducted membership dues to deduct Lodge initiation fees and assessments, the officer(s) of the WCEA designated in the amount certified writing by the Lodge WCEA. The WCEA will obtain and maintain individual employee authorizations for payroll deductions, signed by the individual from whose wages the deduction is to be made. The City shall rely upon written notification from the WCEA for any employee requests to cancel, initiate, or change these payroll deductions. Dues deductions shall automatically renew unless written notice is provided by the WCEA. An employee may withdraw his/her membership during the month of January of each year. The City shall not be obligated to put into effect any new, changed, or discontinued deduction until the next appropriate pay period commencing fifteen (15) days or longer after such notification is provided by the WCEA to the City’s Payroll Division. The City shall not be obligated to make a deduction for dues, the first payperiod of each fees or other assessments from an employee during any calendar month in which such the employee receives less salary than the amount owed for dues, fees or other assessments.
