Dues Deductions. The Lodge Section 1. During the term of this Agreement, the Sheriff agrees to deduct dues and Labor Council will notify uniform assessments owed by the City in writing of employee to the PBA on a biweekly basis. Dues Deductions. Prior to the preparation of the first payroll of the school year, the Association shall indicate to the District, in writing, the dollar amounts of individual dues and assessments of the Southside Education Association, National Education Association, Washington Education Association and Olympic UniServ Council, to be deducted during the school year to follow. These total deductions shall remain unchanged during the school year. The Lodge deductions, as indicated above, shall be deducted in twelve (12) equal amounts in paychecks to begin in September and Labor Council will continue through August; provided that the District has received a written authorization form from any such employee who desires to make said deductions; teachers who work less than a full year shall have their deductions pro-rated at one- twelfth (1/12th), of the total amount, for each month they are employed. Dues Deductions. The Lodge and Labor Council Employees may sign up for Payroll Deductions of Local 3800 dues with Local 3800. Local 3800 will notify certify to the City in writing any new members of Local 3800. City agrees to deduct dues as established by Local 3800, and premiums for approved insurance programs from the salaries of Local 3800 members. The sum so withheld shall be remitted by the City, without delay, directly to Local 3800 along with a list of employees who have had such amounts deducted. 1. Such deduction shall be made only upon the submission on a District approved form of Finance within four a duly-executed and revocable authorization by the unit member;
2. The District shall not be obligated to put into effect any new, changed, or discontinued deduction unless the change is in the District payroll office prior to the tenth (10th) of the month;
3. Unit members who have voluntarily authorized dues deductions shall, from year to year, continue to have dues deducted until discontinued in writing;

B. In addition to, and notwithstanding the provisions of Article IX, Section 12A, Government Code sections 3546, 3546.3 and 3546.5 as amended shall be incorporated herein as though fully set forth and govern the withholdings pursuant to this article.
C. Notwithstanding any bargaining other provision of this Article, any unit member during who is a member of a religious body whose traditional tenets or teachings include objections to joining or financially supporting employee organizations shall not be required to join, maintain membership in, or financially support any employee organization as a condition of employment; except that such employee is required, in lieu of payment of dues or service fees to the life Federation, to pay sums equal to such service fee to a nonreligious, nonlabor organization, charitable fund exempt from taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of Title 26 of the Internal Revenue Code, and chosen by such employee from the following list of such funds: Proof of payment to any fund shall be made on an annual basis to the Federation. Any dispute over the eligibility of an employee under provision C above shall be resolved at any step in the following procedure: (1) investigation by the Federation; (2) meeting(s) between the Federation and the employee; and (3) the Grievance Procedure of this Agreement.

Dues Deductions. 31.1 The Lodge City agrees that upon receipt of a voluntary written individual notice for any bargaining unit employee on the form shown in Appendix C of this agreement, or any other form agreed to thereafter, the City shall deduct from the pay due such employee his Union dues and/or charges for other legally permissible Union activities. Such authorization may be revoked by said employee only after the employee serves a written notice to the Union of the employee's intentions. Said notice to be on the same form as above. Within seventy-two (72) hours, the Union will initial, copy and forward the stop dues payments form indicating the date received by the Union, to the Labor Council Relations Official. Thirty (30) days after receipt by the Union of the form, the City shall stop withholding Union dues from the employee.
31.2 Dues shall be deducted each designated pay period and those monies shall be remitted to the Union thereafter. No deduction shall be made from the pay of an employee for any payroll period in which the employee's net earnings for the payroll period, after tax deductions, are less than the amount of dues to be checked off.
31.3 The Union agrees to save and hold the City harmless from any and all suits, claims or judgments arising because of City's compliance with the provisions of this article.
31.4 The Union will initially notify the City as to the amount of such payroll deduction. Such notification will be to the City, in writing, over the signature of a representative of the Union. Thereafter, unless the Union notifies the City in writing of any change thereto the annual dues it charges shall remain at the aforementioned rate. The Labor Council shall provide at least thirty (30) days written notice to the Director of Finance of the amount of Labor Council dues and /or representation fee to be deducted deduct from the wage salaries of employees in accordance with its employees, subject to this sectionAgreement, dues for the Association. Any change in the amount determined will be provided to the Director of Finance at least thirty (30) days prior to its implementation. Said change is to be made only by proper written notice from the Labor Council and shall not be made more than twice a calendar year. Exceptions may be made upon written requests from the Labor Council and the written approval by the City Manager. No other employee organization's dues shall be deducted from the pay of any bargaining unit member during the life of this Agreement, there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association shall furnish the City with written notice 30 days prior to the beginning of the season and shall furnish new authorizations from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee.
C. The Association will provide the necessary "check-off authorization" form, and the Association will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms to the City Finance Director. The Association shall indemnify, defend and save the City harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the City in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards submitted by the Association to the City of in reliance upon the notification on the letterhead of the Association and signed by the President and the Secretary of the Association, advising of such changed deduction.
D. The Association agrees that there shall be no discrimination, intimidation, restraint, coercion, harassment or pressure by it or by its officers, agents or members against any employee who refuses or fails to execute an authorization card.
E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the City Finance Director. Automatic deductions will begin at the start of the season, or at the date of hire if after July 1st, unless so notified by written authorization. The filing of “notice of withdrawal” shall be effective to halt deductions as of and filed by July 1st next succeeding the date on which notice of withdrawal is filed, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9(e) as amended.
F. Any employee in the bargaining unit on the effective date of this Agreement, who does not join the Association within 30 days thereafter, and any new employee who does not join within 30 days of initial employment within the unit, and any employee who does not join within 10 days of re-entry into employment with the units shall, as a condition of employment, pay a representation fee to the Association by automatic payroll deduction. This representation fee shall be paid in an amount equal to 85% of the regular Association dues, fees and assessments, as certified to the employer by the Association. The Association may revise its certification of the amount of the representation fee at any time to reflect changes in the regular Association membership dues, fees and assessments. The Association's entitlement to the representation fee shall continue beyond the termination date of this Agreement, as long as the Association remains the majority representative of the employees in the unit, provided that no modification is made in the provision by a successor agreement between the Association and the employer.
G. The Association agrees to furnish the City a copy of its "demand and return system," which must be established and maintained by the Association in accordance with the law.
H. The Association shall indemnify, defend and save the City harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of any action taken in making deductions and remitting the same to the Association, pursuant to this Article.

23-1 The Lodge Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of Denver Public Schools Association of Building and Labor Council will notify Grounds Service Personnel members employed by the City in writing District an amount to cover dues for the Association, and/or State, and/or national affiliated association(s) as said employee individually and voluntarily authorizes the Board to deduct, and to transmit the amount so authorized to the treasurer of the Association.
23-2 Each person who desires to authorize such deduction shall file with the School District Secretary through the Office of the Association a signed and dated "Denver Public Schools Association of Building and Grounds Service Personnel Salary Deduction Authorization Form" authorizing the School District Treasurer to deduct from the member's monthly earnings and to remit to the treasurer of the Association an amount equal to 1/12 of the dues it charges required for membership in the organization(s). Such forms shall include a waiver of all rights and its current membership, claims against the Board and will update this information as needed to be accurate. The Labor Council shall provide at least thirty (30) days written notice to the Director of Finance of School District and the amount of Labor Council dues officers and /or representation fee to be agents thereof for moneys deducted from the wage of employees and remitted in accordance with this section. Any said authorization, and an agreement that such deductions and remittances shall continue from year to year as so authorized, unless such person notifies the School District Secretary in writing on an appropriate form, that he desires to increase, decrease, discontinue, or otherwise change in the amount determined will be provided to the Director of Finance at least thirty (30) days prior to its implementation. Said change is such authorization, said notice to be received by the first of the month in advance of the effective date of such discontinuance or change.
23-3 Deductions shall be made only by proper written notice from the Labor Council and uniformly on each monthly payroll period. The School District secretary shall not be made more required to honor, for any month's deduction, any authorizations that are delivered later than twice a calendar year. Exceptions may be made upon written requests from the Labor Council and tenth day of the written approval by the City Manager. The Lodge/Labor Council shall obtain from the employee a completed check-off authorization form which shall conform month prior to the respective state and federal laws concerning that subjectdistribution of the payroll from which the deductions are to be made.
23-4 If a person who is absent on account of sickness, leave of absence, or for any interpretation made thereof. 14.03 OAPSE shall indemnify and hold the Board of Education harmless from any and all claims, demands or suits or any other action arising from the organizational security provisions contained herein.
14.04 Bargaining unit members newly hired on or after 7/1/88 who have not become a member of the Association by the sixtieth (60th) calendar day after his/her initial employment with the Board (for the purposes of this Article, employment shall be the first work day after Board action to hire) shall pay a fair share fee which shall not exceed dues paid by members of the Association who are in the same bargaining unit. Newly hired unit members shall have their annual fees pro-rated for remaining deductions. The Association shall notify the Board Treasurer of those newly hired unit members who have not joined the Association during the sixty (60) day period and the total fair share fee to be deducted. The Board Treasurer shall notify the Union Treasurer of all newly hired employees.
14.05 The fair share fee shall be automatically deducted for those Association members who have withdrawn membership from the Association after 7/10/88 and during the term of this Agreement and for those newly hired unit members who have not joined the Association within sixty (60) days, after initial employment. It is the responsibility of the Association to notify the Board Treasurer as to those unit members who withdraw from the Association. Such notification shall be in writing.
14.06 It shall be the responsibility of the Association to prescribe an internal rebate procedure for rebate of monies spent on political or ideological matters opposed by the unit member which are not related to the purposes of administration of or negotiating the Agreement or grievances.
14.07 Payments by unit members holding religious conscientious objections shall be governed by O.R.C. 4117.09(C).
14.08 The Association agrees to indemnify and save the Board harmless against any judgments, costs, expenses or other liability the Board might incur as a result of the implementation and enforcement of this fair share section.
14.09 The Board’s obligation to deduct the fair share fee shall terminate upon a change to a position outside of the bargaining unit.
14.10 The Employer agrees to deduct from the wages of any bargaining unit employee who is a member of the Union, a PEOPLE deduction as provided for in written authorization. Such authorization is voluntary, must be executed by the employee, and may be revoked by the employee at any time by giving written notice to both the Employer and Union. The employer agrees to remit any deduction made pursuant to this provision to the Union once per month together with an itemized statement showing the name of each employee from whose pay such deductions have been made and the amount deducted during the life period covered by the remittance. The Union agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Board from any claims of this Agreementemployees for reimbursement or related demands if the PEOPLE deduction is ultimately determined by a court of superior jurisdiction to be illegal or the provisions of Section 3599.031(H), Ohio Revised Code, are ultimately held enforceable.

A. Payroll Deductions & Membership Maintenance
1. It is agreed that Union membership is not a mandatory condition of employment for any employee in the Union bargaining unit covered by this agreement. The Lodge Union may have the regular dues deductions of its members deducted from employees' paychecks under procedures prescribed by the County Auditor/Controller. Employees desirous of such deductions must sign and Labor Council submit an Employee Payroll Deduction Authorization (PDA) for each type of deduction. All duly authorized PDA's will notify be processed promptly. Except as otherwise provided in Article 4, Section 6.A, employees are not entitled to revoke or alter such deductions by filing another signed payroll deduction card with the City appropriate instructions affixed thereon. Deductions authorized in writing the above manner will be accumulated and forwarded on a regular basis to the authorized payees. Nothing herein shall prohibit the County from placing reasonable limits as to the number of payees or deductions per employee for the purpose of efficient administration of the payroll system.
2. Any Union employee who has a dues it charges and its current membership, and will update deduction authorization on file with the Auditor/Controller's Office on the date this information as needed to agreement is approved by the Board of Supervisors shall be accurate. 5. The County will provide to the Director Union with a list of Finance within four (4) weeks after the new Union employees hired into regular positions represented by the Union on a remittance monthly basis.
6. Dues deductions from employees who are in another bargaining unit will be allowed if there is sentno objection from the exclusive representative of that bargaining unit. Employees desirous of such deductions must sign and submit PDA for each type of deduction. All duly authorized PDA's will be processed promptly.
7. The County shall not be liable to the Union, with reasons stated thereforeemployees, that or any other party by reason of the requirements of this Section for the remittance is incorrect. No other employee organization's dues shall be deducted from the pay or payment of any bargaining unit member during sum other than the life constituted actual deductions made from employee' wages earned. Dues Deductions. A. The Lodge Board shall deduct, in accordance with the Association dues schedule provided by the Association Treasurer, dues from the wages of all employees who are Association members, and Labor Council will notify who have submitted authorization forms to the City in writing Board. Once initiated, dues deduction authorization shall be continuous, unless revoked by the employee according to the terms of this Agreement. Dues Deductions. The Lodge University agrees to deduct F.O.P. dues bi-weekly from each Police Officer covered by this unit, as defined herein, who furnishes a voluntary, written authorization for such deduction, on a form acceptable to the University. The authorization for dues deduction shall remain in full force and Labor Council effect during the full term of a negotiations unit employee's employment, unless properly withdrawn. In order to withdraw from a dues authorization a negotiations unit employee must submit a written request to withdraw from the Union to the University within 10 days following each anniversary date of their employment. Dues Deductions. 10.7 The City shall not be liable to the Union for the remittance of payment of any sum other than that constituting actual deductions made from the pay earned by the employee. The Union shall indemnify and save the City harmless from any liability, including all costs and expenses defending any action, resulting from any and all claims, demands, suits or any other action arising from compliance with this article or in the reliance of any list, notice, certification, authorization or revocation furnished hereunder.
10.8 The City shall notify the Union of the termination of employment of the dues paying employee. No "Authorization for Deduction of Union Dues and/or Service Fees" forms shall be accepted by the City unless they are forwarded through the office of the Treasurer of the Union.

Dues Deductions. 1. Subject to Section G-1(c) above, the Board agrees to request the County Auditor to deduct regular payroll deductions of dues once each bi-weekly pay period upon receiving written authorization signed individually and voluntarily by the employee. The Lodge signed payroll deduction form, furnished by the Association, must be presented to the Board by the Association. Upon receipt of the authorization, the Board will deduct Union dues from the payroll check for the next pay period following the pay period in which the authorization was received by the Board.
2. The parties agree that the Board assumes no obligations, financial or otherwise, arising out of the provisions of this Article regarding the deduction of Union dues. The Association hereby agrees that it will indemnify and Labor Council will notify hold the City Board harmless from any claims, actions, or proceedings by any employee arising from deductions made by the Board pursuant to this Article. 3. The Employer shall be relieved from making such individual deductions of dues from an employee’s: (1) termination of employment; (2) transfer to a job other than one covered by the bargaining unit; (3) layoff from work; (4) an unpaid leave of absence; (5) revocation of dues deduction authorization.
4. The Employer shall not be obligated to make dues deductions from any employee who, during any bi-weekly pay period involved, shall have failed to receive sufficient wages to make all legally required deductions in addition to the deduction of union dues. In the event such deductions are not made, the Board shall make the appropriate deductions from the following pay period or periods as certified by the Association to the Board. The Board is not required to make any partial dues deductions.
5. The parties agree that neither the employees nor the Association shall have a claim against the Board for errors in the processing of deductions. Dues Deductions. 23-1 The Lodge Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of Denver Public Schools Association of Building and Labor Council will notify Grounds Service Personnel members employed by the City in writing District an amount to cover dues for the Association, and/or State, and/or national affiliated association(s) as said employee individually and voluntarily authorizes the Board to deduct, and to transmit the amount so authorized to the treasurer of the Association.
23-2 Each person who desires to authorize such deduction shall file with the School District Secretary through the Office of the Association a signed and dated "Denver Public Schools Association of Building and Grounds Service Personnel Salary Deduction Authorization Form" authorizing the School District Treasurer to deduct from the member's monthly earnings and to remit to the treasurer of the Association an amount equal to 1/12 of the dues it charges required for membership in the organization(s). Such forms shall include a waiver of all rights and its current membership, claims against the Board and will update this information as needed to be accurate. The Labor Council shall provide at least thirty (30) days written notice to the Director of Finance of School District and the amount of Labor Council dues officers and /or representation fee to be agents thereof for moneys deducted from the wage of employees and remitted in accordance with this section. The Labor Council shall provide at least thirty (30) days written notice transmit the deductions to the Director of Finance of union provided the amount of Labor Council dues and /or representation fee to be Board has been presented with an authorization form signed by the individual members authorizing such deductions.

Dues Deductions. The Lodge Section 1. During the term of this Agreement, the Sheriff agrees to deduct dues and Labor Council will notify uniform assessments owed by the City in writing of employee to the PBA on a biweekly basis. Dues Deductions. The Lodge Union may have the regular dues of its members deducted from the employee’s paychecks; provided, however, that such dues deduction shall be made only upon the written authorization of the individual employee. Dues deductions shall be for an amount specified by the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union and Labor Council uniform as between employee members of the Union. Authorization, cancellation or modification of payroll deduction shall be made upon forms provided and approved by the City. The voluntary payroll deduction authorization will notify remain in effect until employment with the City in writing of is terminated or until canceled or modified by the dues it charges and its current membership, and will update this information as needed to be accurate.
