DUTY AIDES. ‌ All cafeteria duties shall be performed by duty aides. In the event a duty aide is unavailable to provide such service, the District reserves the right to assign Bargaining Unit Employees to perform such functions. The Board shall provide duty aides for recess coverage. The Board reserves the right to assign elementary recess duty to Bargaining Unit Employees as described herein. Bargaining Unit Employees who are assigned to elementary schools may be required to perform one (1) period of recess duty per week. Bargaining Unit Employees who perform such recess duty shall be granted one (1) other recess period within a five (5) day work period as a free period. The other three (3) periods in a five (5) day week shall be utilized as described in Article XV.1(c) of this Agreement. Should there be a work week of less than five (5) work days, the requirement for recess duty per week and the free period can be reasonably prorated or allocated within the discretion of the District.

DUTY AIDES. The district may authorize school sites to hire individuals to provide supervisory coverages for recess, lunch and other times in which additional supervision is required. Such positions are not eligible for HCSSO membership and will be compensated at a flat rate as determined by the HCSD. Such individuals will be under 3 hours per day, and may not be used as substitute aides. (9/21)

  • JURY DUTY PAY All employees required to serve on jury duty shall be paid by the School District the difference between their regular pay and jury duty pay. In implementing this section, the School District shall continue to pay the employee the regular rate of pay and the employee shall be obligated upon receipt of the jury duty pay from the governmental agency to immediately remit any witness fees received to the School District less any mileage expenses. Absences under this section shall not be deducted from accumulated leave.

  • Civic Duty Leave A. Employees summoned for jury duty will be granted a leave of absence with pay for time lost from their regular work schedule while on said jury duty upon presentation of the appropriate summons to the department head by the employee. B. An employee who receives jury fees for jury service upon presentation of the appropriate court certificate of service, shall either: 1. Retain such jury fees in lieu of pay for the period of jury service if the jury fees exceed his/her regular rate of compensation for the period involved; or 2. Remit to the Appointing Authority the jury fees if less than his/her regular rate of compensation for the period involved. C. Jury fees for the purpose of this Article shall be the per diem rate paid for jury duty by the court not including the expenses reimbursed for travel, meals, rooms or incidentals. D. An employee summoned as a witness in court on behalf of the Commonwealth or any town, city or county of the Commonwealth or on behalf of the Federal Government shall be granted court leave with pay upon filing of the appropriate notice of service with his/her department head except that this Section shall not apply to an employee who is also in the employ of any town, city or county of the Commonwealth or in the employ of the Federal Government or any private employer and who is summoned on a matter arising from that employment. E. All fees for court service except jury fees paid for service rendered during office hours must be paid to the Commonwealth. Any fees paid to an employee for court service performed during a vacation period may be retained by the employee. The employee shall retain expenses for travel, meals, rooms, etc. F. An employee on court leave who has been excused by the proper court authority shall report to his/her official duty station if such interruption in court service will permit four or more consecutive hours of employment. Court leave shall not affect any employment rights of the individual. G. No court leave shall be granted when the employee is the defendant or is engaged in personal litigation.

  • Duty Free Lunch Except in emergencies, each teacher shall be provided a duty free lunch period of at least 30 minutes.

  • Legal and Regulatory Actions Contractor represents and warrants that it is not aware of and has received no notice of any court or governmental agency proceeding, investigation, or other action pending or threatened against Contractor or any of the individuals or entities included in numbered paragraph 1 of these Contract Affirmations within the five (5) calendar years immediately preceding execution of this Contract or the submission of any related Solicitation Response that would or could impair Contractor’s performance under this Contract, relate to the contracted or similar goods or services, or otherwise be relevant to System Agency’s consideration of entering into this Contract. If Contractor is unable to make the preceding representation and warranty, then Contractor instead represents and warrants that it has provided to System Agency a complete, detailed disclosure of any such court or governmental agency proceeding, investigation, or other action that would or could impair Contractor’s performance under this Contract, relate to the contracted or similar goods or services, or otherwise be relevant to System Agency’s consideration of entering into this Contract. In addition, Contractor acknowledges this is a continuing disclosure requirement. Contractor represents and warrants that Contractor shall notify System Agency in writing within five (5) business days of any changes to the representations or warranties in this clause and understands that failure to so timely update System Agency shall constitute breach of contract and may result in immediate contract termination.

  • Duty of Cooperation Each party hereto shall cooperate fully with the other party hereto in all reasonable respects in order to accomplish the objectives of this Agreement.

  • Private Duty Nursing Services This plan covers private duty nursing services, received in your home when ordered by a physician, and performed by a certified home healthcare agency. This plan covers these services when the patient requires continuous skilled nursing observation and intervention.
