E xtended Sick Leave. 6 A regular Classified Bargaining Unit Member shall once a year be credited with a 7 total of one hundred (100) working days of extended sick leave in conjunction with 8 accumulated full paid sick leave to which he/she is entitled under this article. Such days 9 of extended sick leave (100 day half-pay bank), in addition to accumulated full paid sick 10 leave, shall be compensated at fifty percent (50%) the pay differential of the Classified 11 Bargaining Unit Member’s regular salary and shall be counted from the date after all 12 other paid leave entitlement has been exhausted, but shall not be cumulative from year 13 to year. All accumulated sick leave will be utilized prior to commencing the 100-day 14 provisions, but earned vacation time may still be held in abeyance for future use by the 15 member.

E xtended Sick Leave. Employees shall be entitled to short term disability benefits and long term disability benefits in accordance with Employer’s Great-West Life Plans Nos. 167260 and 167261, as amended from time to time.
E xtended Sick Leave. When a regular classified employee is absent from his or her duties on account of illness of accident, whether or not the absence arises out of or in the course of employment, the employee shall be entitled to the following extended leave benefit after he or she has exhausted all sick leave authorized by Section 45191 of the Education Code and Rule 60.500.2 to which the employee may be entitled.

  • Extended Sick Leave When sick leave extends for more than 25 consecutive working days, the appointing authority shall initiate the following procedure:

  • Paid Sick Leave Employees shall earn and be granted paid sick leave according to the following provisions:

  • Annual Paid Sick Leave Fifteen (15) days sick leave per year shall be earned by an employee at the rate of 1.25 days for every month that an employee is employed.

  • Unpaid Sick Leave The City Manager shall, upon the advice and recommendation of the City physician, grant unpaid sick leave for up to one (1) year upon application of any employee whose paid sick leave is exhausted. Any extension of such leave shall be subject to the Civil Service Board rules.

  • Accrued Sick Leave The Board shall provide all employees with a cumulative record 23 of accrued sick leave hours on each pay statement.

  • Advanced Sick Leave a. Employees who are incapacitated for the performance of duties because of serious disability or ailment may request advance sick leave not to exceed two hundred and forty (240) hours. These two hundred and forty (240) hours of sick leave may be advanced to an employee with a medical emergency related to the adoption of a child, for family care or bereavement purposes, or to care for a family member with a serious health condition.

  • Unused Sick Leave The accrual of unused sick leave hours is unlimited. The City and the Union commit to the evaluation and establishment of a mutually beneficial non-use of sick leave incentive and pay-out policy. Until such time that a policy is established, accumulated sick leave shall be compensated as follows: Upon retirement from the City service, an employee shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated sick leave, with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time he retires. Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated unused sick leave, with the payment based upon his regular pay at the date of his death.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave At such reasonable times as the Board of Directors shall in its discretion permit, the Employee shall be entitled, without loss of pay, to absent himself voluntarily from the performance of his employment under this Agreement, with all such voluntary absences to count as vacation time; provided that:

  • Accumulated Sick Leave ‌ The Employer shall inform all employees at least once each year of the number of sick days accumulated and shall make the information available to an employee on request.

  • Compensation for Unused Sick Leave 1. Employees who enter County service after July 1, 1979, shall not be eligible for compensation for any of their unused sick leave credits.
