Educational Assistant Assigned to Special Needs Students. Effective July 1, 2005, the Cloverleaf Board of Education shall have the right to assign extra contracted hours (not to exceed two (2) hours per day per contract year) or reduce contracted hours (not more than one (1) hour per day per contract year) of educational assistants who are hired for special needs students. Extra time for this purpose will not be required to be posted. Such reduction or addition of contracted hours will not occur more than twice in a contract year in accordance with the recommendations of the students IEP (individual educational plan). The above provision applies to employees who were hired or applied for an educational assistant position specifically assigned to a special needs student after July 1, 2005. Employees interviewing for such a position shall be notified as to the above provisions prior to being hired.

  • Educational Assistants Teachers are responsible to assign instructional duties to Educational Assistants who are allocated to students in their classroom by the Principal.

  • Teaching Staff Assigned to More Than One Building Each Educator who is assigned to more than one building will be evaluated by the appropriate administrator where the individual is assigned most of the time. The principal of each building in which the Educator serves must review and sign the evaluation, and may add written comments. In cases where there is no predominate assignment, the superintendent will determine who the primary evaluator will be.

  • Educational Assistance Plan The state shall provide up to six credit hours of tuition-free courses per term at a state university or community college to full-time employees on a space available basis as authorized by law.

  • Professional Development; Adverse Consequences of School Exclusion; Student Behavior The Board President or Superintendent, or their designees, will make reasonable efforts to provide ongoing professional development to Board members about the adverse consequences of school exclusion and justice-system involvement, effective classroom management strategies, culturally responsive discipline, appropriate and available supportive services for the promotion of student attendance and engagement, and developmentally appropriate disciplinary methods that promote positive and healthy school climates, i.e., Senate Bill 100 training topics. Board Self-Evaluation The Board will conduct periodic self-evaluations with the goal of continuous improvement. New Board Member Orientation The orientation process for newly elected or appointed Board members includes:

  • EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM The District’s Educational Assistance Program will be continued during the life of this Agreement. Employees who wish to enroll in job-related and promotion oriented courses, which will improve their job knowledge, and performance will be compensated by the District for expenses as follows:
