Regular Assignments. An employee covered by this Agreement will be tentatively advised prior to the end of the contract year, on the basis of information available at that time, of any changes in building assignment, grade level, or subject areas for the next contract year. He/she will be so advised in writing.
Regular Assignments. An employee’s present assignment (department, unit, shift, hours worked) shall be considered his/her regular assignment. An employee’s regular assignment may only be altered as hereinafter provided.
Regular Assignments a. In the event a new route or a vacancy becomes available during the calendar year, the route shall be posted for a period of seven (7) days and one consideration shall be seniority and the other being the location of the requesting driver’s home and the location of the route.
b. If a vacancy occurs in a kindergarten run during the calendar year, drivers shall bid on the kindergarten run in the order of seniority and the location of the requesting driver’s home and the location of the route.
c. If two (2) drivers are instructed to go on one (1) bus on a trip, both drivers will be paid their regular rate of pay.
d. No gratis trips will be made by any driver at any time for any reason.

Regular Assignments. When the School District creates a new position or declares a vacancy in the bargaining unit, the position or vacancy shall be posted at least five (5) working days. Seniority employees possessing the qualifications for the posted position may bid by filing a written request within the posting period. If the qualifications, ability and merit are equal among applicants, then the high seniority employee shall be selected and given a trial period not to exceed thirty (30) working days. During the trial period, a seniority employee may be disqualified and returned to his/her former position and no grievance shall be filed. A seniority employee who is not selected for a trial period, or a seniority employee who is disqualified during the trial period, may request the reasons for his/her bid denial or disqualification.
Regular Assignments. All passenger service work that can be combined to provide eight (8) or more hour’s work and having a regularity of five (5) or more days per calendar week will be established as regular assignments. Regular assignments may be split only once without payment of continuous time.

Such an assignment is not an entitlement and is subject to change and/or redeployment as provided herein. Interpreters shall not contact, nor request any other person to contact on their behalf, any bench officer for the purpose of soliciting an assignment. No interpreter shall contact any bench officer on behalf of another interpreter for the purpose of soliciting an assignment. In the event that there is an opening for a regular assignment, which the Court determines there is a need to fill, such assignment shall be filled based upon seniority. Reassignments shall be based upon the needs of the Court. Reassignments shall not be considered as part of the progressive discipline process and are not disciplinary.
Regular Assignments. 1. The Interpreter Assignment Office may assign an interpreter to a particular location for an unspecified period of service. Such an assignment is not an entitlement and is subject to change as provided herein.
2. In the event that there is an opening for a regular assignment, which the Court determines there is a need to fill, the Court shall evaluate the following when considering interested employee candidates within the language pair: interpreter preference and experience, and the business needs of the court.
3. Regular assignments held by employees prior to the implementation of this agreement shall not be changed due to the implementation of this agreement.
4. Interpreters may provide the Interpreter Assignment Office with a list of preferred courthouses and/or preferred geographic areas within their home court for consideration. The Court shall inform interpreters of their coming week's assignment(s), to the extent it is known, no later than Friday noon of the prior week.

It is understood that upon implementation of this Agreement, interpreters working a regular full time assignment will be required to work consistent with that assignment. After the effective date of this Agreement, the Court may add to or delete from the number of full time or part-time regular assignments based upon the needs of the Court.

The District may employ substitute paraprofessional of a temporary nature in a vacancy or for a specified circumstance by mutual agreement. Temporary substitutes may work without claim for bargaining unit status at any time up to a full semester. Temporary substitutes may also be employed as long as their position is posted, and the District is actively seeking a bargaining unit member to fill that position. The Local Union and the Xxxxxxx will be informed in a timely manner when any change in status occurs.
