Educational & Didactic Training. Members shall ensure that all assigned interns are provided the time to attend the educational and didactic training offered by NPTC and have access to the technology and tele platform required for virtual didactics. Members should also allow the intern to attend other educational programs whenever possible. Additionally, the Members shall assist the Regional Training Director with educational programs and didactic training and resources at his/her request. The Members are also encouraged to provide the interns with support and access to educational resources related to the profession of psychology or human services. In general, support and access to resources will be assumed to parallel those typically provided to other clinicians of the site that are on probationary or provisional status.

Members will provide additional monthly didactic training to interns that is to include training in diversity-related topics, clinical supervision exercises, and psychological evaluation conceptualizations. These monthly trainings can be broken down separately and scheduled at the individual sites’ convenience. Additionally, the Members shall assist the Regional Assistant Training Director with educational programs and didactic training and resources at his/her request. The Members are also encouraged to provide the interns with support and access to educational resources related to the profession of psychology or human services. This could include access to libraries, computers and observation experiences in settings not directly controlled by the NPTC Member (such as Emergency Room and Medical Floor consultations at community hospitals).   • Training Assistance (a) Employees shall be reimbursed for one hundred percent (100%) of the tuition for job-related courses approved by the Employer.

The Employer shall establish the specifics of the programs through the Health Benefit Committee. This provision shall expire on June 30, 2015 unless mutually agreed otherwise by the parties. All approved vendors contracted with the health plan administrator shall be permitted to provide services on state premises for employees.

  • Medical Exams 17.1: The Sheriff's Department may require a physical and/or psychological exam by a doctor, at the Employer's expense, to determine the employee's ability to perform his/her regular duties, if deemed appropriate. The employee may obtain a second opinion, at the employee's expense, and in the event there is a dispute between the Employer's doctor and the employee's doctor, both of these doctors shall select a third doctor, whose decision shall be final and binding on the parties. The expense for the third doctor's opinion shall be split 50-50 by the Employer and the employee if not covered by the employee's insurance.
