Educational Premium Pay. Premium pay shall be awarded as an educational incentive to employees in the bargaining unit in accordance with Appendix B of this Agreement.

Educational Premium Pay. The following monthly incentive will be granted to each employee, who meets the degree criteria provided below, as part of their base wages upon completing the listed number of credits and/or higher education degrees in a law enforcement related field. AA Degree or Equivalent 2.0% BA Degree 4.0% It shall be the employee’s responsibility to notify the City upon completion of degree requirements. Education pay shall be effective the first of the month following the employee’s notification to the City. Law enforcement related fields shall include: Criminal Justice (Law Enforcement), Psychology, Sociology, Public or Business Administration, Political Science, Law, or any other field of study beneficial to the Department, and approved by the Chief of Police. All employees hired prior to January 1, 1995, shall have their credits and/or degrees considered law enforcement related. Equivalency for an AA degree is defined as 90 quarter hours or 60 semester hours.

Related to Educational Premium Pay

  • Overtime and Premium Pay Section 1. Overtime at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times an employee's regular straight time hourly rate of pay shall be paid for all work over forty (40) hours in one (1) week.

  • Overtime Premium Pay Time and one-half (1 1/2) the employee's straight time rate of pay shall be paid for all hours actually worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any one workweek.

  • Weekend Premium Pay Any nurse who works on a weekend shall receive four dollars ($4.00) per hour premium pay for each hour worked on the weekend in addition to the nurse’s regular rate of pay. Weekend premium pay shall not be included in the nurse’s regular rate of pay for overtime pay calculations, unless required by the Fair Labor Standards Act. The weekend shall be defined as all hours between 11:00 p.m. Friday and 11:00 p. m. Sunday.

  • Premium Pay “Premium Pay” is a special pay rate for working during times that are less desirable, such as weekends, holidays or late shifts. The City will not pay the Consultant Premium Pay.

  • Holiday Premium Pay A Nurse working on a recognized Holiday is entitled to the following compensation for any hours worked on the calendar date of the recognized Holiday:

  • Educational Allowance Special Preparation Bonuses Per Month Per Shift (Full-time) (Part-time)

  • Training Premium Qualified Operators selected by the Employer to train new Operators shall be paid a training premium of 40¢ per hour while engaged in training work.

  • Education Allowance Provisions in existing Collective Agreements providing for educational allowances shall be continued in effect.

  • Premium Payments If an employee with at least three years of service in the employ of the Shaker Heights Board of Education should exhaust his/her sick leave within the time specifications of this contract and is granted a leave of absence by the Board, the Board shall continue to pay his/her premiums in accordance with his/her work assignment for the following fringe benefits for a period not to exceed twelve (12) months. The payment of such premiums will cease on the effective date an employee retires, resigns, goes on disability retirement or his/her contract is terminated.

  • Premium Payment The Bank shall pay any premiums due on the Policy.
