Effective Date of Reclassification Actions. A promotion resulting from the application of a new classification standard or correction of a classification error will normally be effected no later than the beginning of the 2nd pay period following management’s decision to promote the incumbent(s), provided he or she meets any applicable qualification, performance, or other requirements for the position in question.

  • Downward Reclassification a. When a position is reclassified to another class at the same pay level or to a class that carries a lower salary range, the incumbent trial service or regular employee shall be accorded corresponding status in the new class.
