ELECTION OF CONSULTATIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS. ▪ Election of employee representatives to be held annually ▪ Nominations for members and alternate members shall be called for and all nominations must be recorded by a co- worker from the relevant work area ▪ In the event of more nominations than required being received, a ballet will be conducted in the work location involved. The principle of “first past the post” will apply. The alternate member shall be the nominee with the second highest number of votes. ▪ In the event of a casual vacancy, a fresh election will be held in the area concerned to elect a representative for the balance of the term. Where the majority of employees in any of the nominated work locations become dissatisfied with the performance of their elected Committee Member, a fresh election will be held.
