Joint Consultative Committee. 46.1 The parties recognise the need for effective communication to improve the business/operational performance and working environment in agencies.
46.2 The parties acknowledge that decisions will continue to be made by the employer who is responsible and accountable to Government for the effective and efficient operation of the agency.
46.3 The parties agree that:
(a) where the employer proposes to make changes likely to affect existing practices, working conditions or employment prospects of employees, the union and employees affected shall be notified by the employer as early as possible;
(b) for the purposes of discussion the employer shall provide to the employees concerned relevant information about the changes, including the effect of the changes on employees, provided the employer shall not be required to disclose any information that is confidential;
(c) in the context of discussions the union and employees are able to contribute to the decision making process; and
(d) the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) parties are to provide all reasonable and relevant information except confidential commercial, business or personal information, the release of which may seriously harm a party or individual.
46.4 Each agency will have a JCC comprising of the employer or their nominee, employer nominated representatives and union nominated representatives.
46.5 The JCC will convene within 28 days of a written request being received from either party.
46.6 The JCC will determine its own operating procedures.
46.7 JCCs will be a forum for consultation on issues such as:
(a) development of workload management tools within the agency;
(b) industrial issues;
(c) fixed term and casual employment usage;
(d) changes to work organisation and/or work practices occurring in the workplace;
(e) agency implementation of recommendations from the ‘Functional Review of Government’; and
(f) agency implementation of other aspects of this General Agreement.
46.8 Matters not resolved through the JCC can be referred to the provisions of clause 49 - Dispute Settlement Procedure.
Joint Consultative Committee. (a) A Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) will be established comprising three nominees of the University and three nominees of the Union, one of which can be an Industrial Officer. By prior agreement additional attendees may be invited to participate in a JCC meeting.
(b) The JCC will be responsible for consultation on matters pertinent to the operation of this Agreement. The University will also use the JCC as a forum to consult with the Union on the development of and any proposed changes to policies on employment matters.
(c) The JCC will meet at least twice per year or at the request of either the University or the Union.
(d) Members of the JCC may meet with staff members regarding conditions of employment, provided that such meetings are held during work breaks and appropriate prior notice of meeting times and arrangements for such meetings are provided to the University. Members of the JCC will have reasonable access to phone, email, mail and printing facilities. The activities of staff members of the JCC will be undertaken as part of normal duties and they will have adequate and reasonable time to fulfill these activities.
Joint Consultative Committee. 1. A Joint Consultative Committee is hereby established as a consultative body of the Association Council. Its work shall consist in submitting the opinions of civil society organisations to this Council regarding the implementation of this Agreement without prejudice to other processes in accordance with Article 11. The Joint Consultative Committee shall further be tasked with contributing to the promotion of dialogue and cooperation between the organisations of civil society in the European Union and those in Central America.
2. The Joint Consultative Committee shall be composed of an equal number of representatives of the European Economic and Social Committee, on the one side, and of representatives of the Comité Consultivo del Sistema de la Integración Centroamericana (CC-XXXX) and of the Comité Consultivo de Integración Económica (CCIE), on the other side.
3. The Joint Consultative Committee shall adopt its rules of procedure.
Joint Consultative Committee. 15.1 The JCC is a forum to regularly consult on the implementation of significant organisational and attitudinal reforms.
15.2 The charter for the JCC includes provisions regarding:
(a) membership composition and appointment process;
(b) schedule of meetings and quorum;
(c) meeting agendas (including identification of standing agenda items) and minute taking; and
(d) establishment and operation of working parties or projects falling within the scope of the JCC (e.g. Fitness for Work Committee; Job Model Committee; Performance Achievement Committee; Corporate Capability and Development Committee; or Xxxxxx Creek System Control Centre Restructure Committee).
15.3 The scope and terms of reference of the joint working parties established under clause 15.2(d) will be developed by the members of the JCC to reflect commitments arising under this Agreement.
15.4 The parties acknowledge that the JCC has the power to make recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team, but is not a decision making body.
15.5 PWC and the JCC will monitor implementation of this Agreement and cooperate in resolving any matters which might arise in giving effect to any part of this Agreement. In doing so, the JCC will not consider the application, interpretation or modification of the terms and conditions of employment governed by this Agreement.
Joint Consultative Committee. 7.2.1 The Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) will be a forum for Consultation on issues such as:
a) development of workload management tools within the agency;
b) industrial issues;
c) fixed term and casual employment usage; and
d) changes to work organisation and/or work practices occurring in the workplace.
7.2.2 The JCC will comprise the Employer or their nominee, Employer nominated representatives and Union nominated representatives.
7.2.3 The JCC will convene within 28 days of a written request being received from either party.
7.2.4 The JCC will determine its own operating procedures and the JCC parties are to provide all reasonable and relevant information except confidential commercial, business or personal information, the release of which may seriously harm a party or individual.

Joint Consultative Committee. 1. A Joint Consultative Committee is hereby established with the task of assisting the Association Council to promote dialogue and cooperation between the various economic and social organisations of civil society in the European Union and those in Chile. Such dialogue and cooperation shall encompass all economic and social aspects of the relations between the Community and Chile, as they arise in the context of implementation of this Agreement. The Committee may express its view on questions arising in these areas.
2. The Joint Consultative Committee shall be composed of an equal number of members of the Economic and Social Committee of the European Union, on the one hand, and of members of the corresponding institution dealing with economic and social matters in the Republic of Chile, on the other.
3. The Joint Consultative Committee shall carry out its activities on the basis of consultation by the Association Council or, for the purposes of promoting the dialogue between various economic and social representatives, on its own initiative.
4. The Joint Consultative Committee shall adopt its rules of procedure.
Joint Consultative Committee. 1. A Joint Consultative Committee, consisting of representatives of the University and Union, shall be established for the purpose of deliberation upon any matter which either party wishes to bring to the attention of the other in the interest of proper implementation of this Agreement, avoidance of areas of possible formal grievances and fostering harmonious relations between the parties.
2. Each party shall have the right to nominate up to five representatives to the Committee, of which one shall be designated as Chair of this party's delegation.
3. Meetings of the Committee shall be called at either party's request at the time and place agreed upon by the two delegation Chairs, with due regard to the importance and urgency of the matters to be discussed. The delegation Chairs shall alternate in presiding over the deliberations from meeting to meeting, the sequence starting with the University's delegation Chair unless both parties agree to other presiding arrangements.
4. Meetings of the Committee shall be informal and shall not be subject to any quorum requirement as long as both parties are represented to their satisfaction. No official records of meetings shall be kept.
5. The conclusions, if any, of the deliberations of the Committee may be formulated in writing by consensus of the two parties (regardless of the number of participating representatives of each) as an advisory opinion which shall be signed by the two delegation Chair and forwarded by the presiding delegation Chair to the University and the Union. The Committee as such shall have no power of decision upon any matter placed before it.
6. Meetings of the Committee shall be in camera and the business of the Committee shall be confidential to the parties.
Joint Consultative Committee. (JCC)
6.01 There shall be a Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) to be comprised of three (3) representatives of the Bargaining Unit and three (3) representatives of the University. The Director of Human Resources and the Bargaining Unit President shall be ex-officio members of this Committee and will count as two (2) of the six (6) members. Either side may appoint, on a temporary basis, one replacement representative based on availability of the selected representatives. The Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) shall be chaired jointly by a representative of the Bargaining Unit and a representative of the University administration, who shall together be responsible for the preparation and distribution of agenda for meetings, and who shall alternate in presiding over the meetings. A quorum for the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) shall be four (4) of its members, with a minimum of two (2) members representing each of the University administration and the Bargaining Unit.
6.02 The Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) shall attempt:
a) to develop and maintain a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect;
b) to review matters arising from the administration, interpretation and operation of the Agreement and other matters of mutual concern but excluding any dispute which is currently being resolved under the grievance procedures in this Collective Agreement;
c) to facilitate better working relationships between the University and the OSSTF Algoma University Support Staff;
d) to xxxxxx better communication between the various components of the University community;
e) to encourage career development opportunities and job enhancements;
f) to develop measures in order to alleviate and minimize any adverse impact including but not limited to job restructuring, duties normally performed by members of the Algoma University Support Staff and terms of employment.
6.03 The Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) will meet monthly and on an ad hoc basis with an agenda to be agreed upon at the beginning of each meeting. In addition, a formal request by the co-chair of either party for a meeting will be honoured by the other party within seven (7) working days. In the event of a formal request to meet, each member of the Committee shall receive notice not less than five (5) working days before the scheduled meeting, and shall receive the agenda of the meetings at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance. Joint Consultative Committee. 49:01 The parties agree to form for the duration of this Agreement, a Joint Consultative Committee, to be comprised of three (3) representatives of each party. The Committee shall be constituted within fourteen (14) days after the date of signing of this Agreement.
49:02 The Joint Consultative Committee shall attempt:
(a) to maintain and develop a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect;
(b) to review matters arising from the administration, interpretation and operation of this Agreement and other matters of mutual concern but excluding any dispute which is currently being resolved under the grievance procedures in this Agreement;
(c) to facilitate better working relationships between the University and the Association and members; and
(d) to xxxxxx better communications between and among the various components of the University community.
49:03 The Committee shall meet not later than fourteen (14) days after the request of either party, but in any event the Committee shall meet at least twice yearly. Each member of the Committee shall receive notice not less than five (5) working days before the scheduled date of the meeting, and shall receive the agenda of the meeting at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance.
49:04 A representative of the University and a representative of the Association shall be designated as joint Chairpersons. They shall alternate in presiding over meetings and they shall be responsible for determining and circulating the agenda and notices.
