Eligibility for Battalion Chief. All appointments to Battalion Chief shall be made from current employees of the Batavia Fire Department who hold the rank of Lieutenant and are certified Fire Officer II or become certified Fire Officer II within one (1) year after promotion. Rating Factors and Weights for Battalion Chief All examinations shall be impartial and shall relate to those matters which will test the candidatesability to discharge the duties of the position to be filled. The placement of employees on promotional lists shall be based on the points achieved by the employee on promotional examinations consisting of the following 5 components weighed as specified and shall be administered in the following order:

If there are less than three (3) candidates with at least three (3) years of seniority in the rank of Lieutenant with Fire Officer II certification, the required seniority shall be lowered one
