Emergency Management Activity. Where a Vicdeaf employee, other than a casual, is called out to assist in an emergency, the employee is entitled to leave on ordinary pay to attend to that emergency, provided that:  The activity deals with an emergency or natural disaster;  The employee engages in the activity on a voluntary basis;  The employee is a member of, or has member-like association with a ‘recognised emergency management body’ such as the State Emergency Service (SES) and/or Country Fire Authority (CFA); and  The body requests the employee to engage in the activity or it would be reasonable to expect that such a request would have been made if circumstances had permitted The employee must provide their manager with notice of the leave as soon as practicable (which may be a time after the leave has started), including the period or expected period of leave and provide reasonable evidence, such as current registration of the relevant emergency authority.

  • Emergency Medical Services The City’s Fire Department and MedStar (or other entity engaged by the City after the Effective Date) will provide emergency medical services.

  • Emergency Situation In the event of an emergency situation beyond our reasonable control, such as an "act of God," war, fire, or natural disaster, services involving your account could be available only in a modified or reduced form or could be entirely unavailable. Unless expressly prohibited by applicable law, you agree that we will have no liability to you for such modification, reduction, or unavailability of services caused by an emergency situation.

  • Emergency Situations If the condition is an emergency, this will be communicated to the Contractor with the request that corrections are to be accomplished immediately. The Contractor shall respond to the notice in emergency situations within twenty-four hours. If the Contractor fails to respond within this time limit, the Owner may correct the defect and charge the Contractor for the Work. If it is determined the complaint is not the responsibility of the Contractor, the Contractor shall be promptly paid for the cost of the corrective work. The Contractor shall give notice in writing to the Owner when corrections have been completed.

  • Emergency Room Services This plan covers services received in a hospital emergency room when needed to stabilize or initiate treatment in an emergency. If your condition needs immediate or urgent, but non-emergency care, contact your PCP or use an urgent care center. This plan covers bandages, crutches, canes, collars, and other supplies incidental to your treatment in the emergency room as part of our allowance for the emergency room services. Additional services provided in the emergency room such as radiology or physician consultations are covered separately from emergency room services and may require additional copayments. The amount you pay is based on the type of service being rendered. Follow-up care services, such as suture removal, fracture care or wound care, received at the emergency room will require an additional emergency room copayment. Follow- up care services can be obtained from your primary care provider or a specialist. See Dental Services in Section 3 for information regarding emergency dental care services.

  • Traffic Management The Customer will not utilize the Services in a manner which, in the view of the Centre Operator, significantly distorts traffic balance on the Centre Operator’s circuits which are shared with other users. If, in the reasonable view of the Centre Operator, the Customer’s traffic patterns cause or may cause such distortion, the Customer should have a dedicated circuit capability. If the Customer declines to do so then the Centre Operator may suspend the Services while the matter is being resolved. If there is no resolution within 5 business days then either party may terminate the Agreement.

  • Emergency Childcare Employees may use vacation leave for childcare emergencies after the employee has exhausted all of their accrued compensatory time. Use of vacation leave and sick leave for emergency childcare is limited to a combined maximum of four (4) days per calendar year.

  • Crisis Management 1. The Parties reaffirm their commitment to cooperating in promoting international peace and stability.
