Employee-Initiated Training/Development. (a) Course/Conference Requiring Leave of Absence Where an employee makes application to attend a training program, conference, or seminar which requires leave of absence, the Company may approve such leave of absence, with pay or partial pay or without pay, and/or choose to defray all or a portion of the cost of the employee's training dependent on the nature of the course and the degree to which it is career related. Where the Company undertakes to support the employee with pay or with partial pay, such payment shall be dependent upon the employee's successful completion of the training program, conference or seminar.

Job-Related Courses Job-Related Courses are programs of study that relate directly to an employee's present job requirements, or are anticipated to relate to job assignments in the near future or are directed towards a career-related improvement of skills. These courses are taken on an employee's own time. Reimbursement for such courses approved in advance will be at one hundred per cent of properly receipted tuition fees, textbooks, registration and examination fees on successful completion. Consistent with the Company's commitment to enhancing knowledge of both official languages within former reimbursement of courses in a second official language will be one hundred per cent on the same basis as above. Papers/Conference Attendance Employees undertaking to produce papers on their own initiative and time will be provided with word processing support by the Company. Such papers should be registered with the Library.

  • Employee Initiated Transfer A. Employees desiring a transfer within the same job title shall complete an online Employee Transfer Application in accordance with the Job Posting.

  • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers.

  • Employee Workload ‌ The Employer shall ensure that an employee’s workload is not unsafe as a result of employee absence(s). Employees may refer safety related workload concerns to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee for investigation under Article 22.3 (Occupational Health and Safety Committee).

  • Employee Development The Employer may provide employees the opportunity to participate in appropriate seminars, workshops or short courses. When possible and appropriate the Employer will provide to all staff information on seminars, workshops or short courses by posting a notice on the Employer’s internal web site.

  • Employee Training The Provider shall provide periodic security training to those of its employees who operate or have access to the system. Further, Provider shall provide LEA with contact information of an employee who LEA may contact if there are any security concerns or questions.

  • Employee Initiated Employee requested cancellations of scheduled vacation leave must be submitted in writing and is subject to prior approval by the Employer.

  • EMPLOYEE WORK YEAR A. In-School Work Year

  • Job Development Job development/placement is individualized and shall include weekly person-to-person job search assistance, assistance with identifying job leads, interview coaching and support, and maintaining a log of job search activities for the purposes of obtaining competitive integrated employment. By mutual consent of the consumer and the KARINA ASSOCIATION, INC. , these services may be provided in-person or by Skype, FaceTime, or other online communication tools. Job development/placement may also include arranging job trials/job shadowing for individuals with a DORS Trial Work Experience Plan, assistance with completing applications, assistance with employer follow-up after interviews, use of personal employment networks in job search, and resume update. It would include time spent calling employers, visiting and educating employers and similar activities. Job development/placement shall not be paid for using supported employment funding and shall not include the Discovery process, which is pre-vocational in nature and may be completed prior to job development. Up to 60 hours for job search assistance, authorized in 20-hour increments, may be used for job development. Additional hours of job development may be requested and require written justification by KARINA ASSOCIATION, INC. and approval of the DORS regional/program director. Authorizations for Job Development. DORS only pays for job development services which have been previously authorized by a DORS official. Job Development Reporting. The Employment Service Progress Form is expected to be submitted to DORS on a monthly basis per consumer. This form is available on the DORS website (xxx.xxxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx).

  • Project Development a. Collaborate with COUNTY and project clients to identify requirements and develop a project Scope Statement.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.
