Employees on Hourly Rates. Employees on hourly rates get no pay on holidays unless they work. When they are required to work, they are paid two times their hourly rate. (See S-3:B for observance of holidays.)

Employees on Hourly Rates. Employees on hourly rates who are working 8-, 9-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts get overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a calendar week or 8, 9, 10, or 12 hours in any 24-hour period. The overtime rate is one-and-one-half times the employee's straight-time rate. Under the same conditions as prescribed for employees on annual rates, they receive twice their straight-time rate for work in excess of 16 hours.

  • Employees on Layoff A classified employee who receives an Employer Contribution, who has three (3) or more years of continuous service, and who has been permanently or seasonally laid off, remains eligible for an Employer Contribution and all other benefits provided under this Article for an extended benefit eligibility period of six (6) months from the date of layoff.

  • Employees on Leave Unit members who are granted Sick Leave Bank Days shall be considered to be in regular paid status during such leave.

  • Full-Time Employees Only Employees will be allowed to participate in health and welfare benefits plans during the year of the leave, but the full cost of such plans will be borne by the employees. Contributions to the Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan will be in accordance with the Plan. Notwithstanding the above, employees will not be eligible to participate in the disability income plan during the year of the leave.

  • Holiday Pay for Employees Laid Off An employee who is laid off at the close of business the day before a holiday who has worked not less than five (5) previous consecutive work days shall be paid for the holiday.

  • Types of Employees For the purpose of this Agreement, the parties agree that “employees” referred to in Article 2 relates to the following types of employees:

  • Compensation for Employees Employees shall receive compensation at the biweekly or hourly rate for the range and step or flat rate assigned to the class in which they are employed.
