Pay for Work on Holidays. Any employee who works on a general holiday as outlined in section 13.01 shall be paid time and one-half (1½) for all hours worked on the holiday, plus holiday pay, provided the employee is qualified to receive holiday pay under the terms hereof.

Pay for Work on Holidays. Any Employee who is entitled to a paid holiday under this Agreement and who is required by the Employer to work on any such holiday shall receive time and one half (1½) such employee's regular wage rate for each hour and portion thereof.

Pay for Work on Holidays. All full-time, part-time and per diem nurses who work on the following holidays, New Year’s Day (which will begin on 7:00 p.m. on December 31st and end 11:00 p.m. January 1), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day (which will begin on 3:00 p.m. December 24th and ending 11:00 p.m. December 25th) shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1-½) times the nurse’s regular rate of pay for all hours worked on the holiday. A nurse who works beyond his or her shift or work period on a holiday shall be paid at the rate of two (2) times the nurse’s regular rate of pay for all such hours worked on the holiday.

Work on holidays shall be rotated by the Hospital to the extent feasible. If the employee’s department, unit or work area is closed on a particular designated holiday, and the employee would have otherwise been scheduled to work, he/she will be paid earned/accrued PTO for this day for the number of normal work hours. (If the closure is not on an Employer designated holiday, this will be considered Low Census [per Article 6.4]).
Pay for Work on Holidays. If the employee works on these days, they will be paid for the holiday plus time and one- half (1-1/2) for the hours worked on that day or paid straight time for the holiday and an additional day and one-half (1 1/2) be added to the vacation allowance for each holiday worked. The choice of which days shall, be at the discretion of the employer. When the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the preceding Friday or following Monday shall be considered the holiday. If work on a holiday is the choice of the employee, no extra pay or vacation time will accrue.
