The EMPLOYMENT LISTS clause establishes requirements for maintaining and providing lists of employees involved in a project or contract. Typically, this clause obligates one or both parties to compile and update rosters of personnel, including details such as names, roles, and employment status, and to share these lists with the other party or relevant authorities upon request. Its core practical function is to ensure transparency and accountability regarding workforce composition, which can help with compliance, security, or contractual oversight.
EMPLOYMENT LISTS. 23.1 Employment lists, in order of their priority, shall be re-employment lists and eligibility lists.
23.2 Re-employment lists shall contain the names of regular, full-time employees laid off in good standing for lack of funds or work.
23.2.1 Names on re-employment lists shall remain for a period not to exceed two (2) years.
23.3 Eligibility lists shall be created in accordance with the provisions of ARTICLE 22 –
EMPLOYMENT LISTS. Employment lists shall become effective upon the approval of the Human Resources Director. Employment lists shall remain in effect for one (1) year from the date of approval, unless sooner exhausted, and may be extended, prior to their expiration dates, by approval of the Human Resources Director for up to a one (1) year period, but in no event shall an employment list remain in effect for more than two (2) years. The name of any person on an employment list may be removed by the City Manager if the eligible person requests in writing that their name be removed, or if the person fails to respond to a written offer of employment within five (5) business days next succeeding receipt of the mailing of the notice, which shall be by regular mail. A candidate who rejects an offer of employment shall be removed from the employment list.
