Employment Security 28.1 The parties to this agreement agree to maximise the continuity of employment for existing and future employees and to ensure that permanent employment opportunities and the opportunity for promotion transfer and re-training or upskilling are not eliminated, reduced or eroded.
EMPLOYMENT POLICY 6.01 The Union and the Employer will cooperate in maintaining a desirable and competent labour force. The Employer will notify the Union of labour requirements giving as much prior notice as possible. The Union will provide a list of manpower available. The Employer at its discretion may hire employees listed or from other sources.
Supplementary Employment Insurance Benefits (1) Birth mothers who are entitled to maternity leave and who have applied for and are in receipt of Employment Insurance benefits are eligible to receive XXXX Plan payments.
Employment Insurance Employment insurance coverage will be provided during the life of this agreement for regular and auxiliary employees who would, if employed by a private employer, be eligible for such coverage under the provisions of the Employment Insurance Act.
Employment Security and Income Maintenance Plan 21.1 The provisions of the governing Supplemental Agreement shall apply with respect to the Employment Security and Income Maintenance Plan.
Retirement Severance (a) Upon qualification for benefits in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Michigan Public School Employees Retirement System the retiring bus driver shall be paid for all unused sick leave days at a rate that is 50% of the current rate based on the current bid route time. The retiree after 10 or more consecutive years of service will receive 75% of the above amount. Bus monitors who meet the MPSERS qualification shall be paid for all unused equivalent sick leave days at a rate of $15 per day. This will not apply to discharged employees.
Security of Employment Arrangements a) The parties covered by this Agreement acknowledge and agree that the use of Supplementary Labour may have the potential to undermine the Employee’s security of Employment.
DISABILITY INSURANCE PLAN Management shall expend for active employees of this unit who are members of LACERS the sum necessary to cover the cost of a basic disability insurance plan. Management shall also maintain a Supplemental Disability Insurance Plan, enrollment in which is at the discretion of each employee. The full cost of the Supplemental Disability Insurance Plan premiums shall be paid by the individual employees who enroll in the plan. The City's Joint Labor-Management Benefits Committee shall determine the benefits and provider of the plan
Employment Insurance Rebate The short-term sick leave plan shall be registered with the Employment Insurance Commission (EIC). The nurses' share of the employer's Employment Insurance premium reduction will be retained by the Hospital towards offsetting the cost of the benefit improvements contained in this agreement.
RETIREMENT SEVERANCE PAY Any employee who works regularly each week on a permanent part-time basis or on a full-time basis and who has ten or more years of service with the Shaker Heights Board of Education, may elect at the time of his/her retirement from active service (retirement from active service shall mean actual retirement under one of Ohio’s public employee retirement systems or eligibility for retirement under such retirement systems with retirement from the Shaker schools and election to withdraw retirement funds in a lump sum payment) to receive severance pay in an amount equal to: One-fourth (1/4) of his/her unused accumulation at the per diem rate of said employee’s basic contract salary in effect at the time of the last day of employment in Shaker Heights. Supplemental contracts, extended service, overtime or any other compensation will not be included in the calculation.
