Enrollment of New Employees. Employees who become eligible or are hired after an Employer’s Agreement Start Date may enroll themselves and any eligible Dependents on the date they become eligible.

Enrollment of New Employees. The County Human Resources Department shall monthly furnish a list of all new hires to PDOCC. All new employees represented by PDOCC on or after the effective date of this MOU and continuing until the termination of the MOU, shall as a condition of employment either: 1. Become and remain a member of PDOCC or; 2. pay to PDOCC, an agency shop fee in an amount which does not exceed an amount which may be lawfully collected under applicable constitutional, statutory, and case law, and which shall not exceed the monthly dues, initiation fees and general assessments made during the duration of this MOU. It shall be the sole responsibility of PDOCC to determine an agency shop fee which meets the above criteria; or 3. do both of the following: a. Execute a written declaration under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California that the new employee is a member of a bona fide religion, body or sect which has historically held a conscientious objection to joining or financially supporting any public employee organization as a condition of employment, or that the new

  • RESTRICTIONS ON EMPLOYMENT OF FORMER STATE OFFICER OR EMPLOYEE The Engineer shall not hire a former state officer or employee of a state agency who, during the period of state service or employment, participated on behalf of the state agency in this agreement’s procurement or its negotiation until after the second anniversary of the date of the officer’s or employee’s service or employment with the state agency ceased.

  • New Employee (a) (i) Unless the Parties agree, in writing, to an extension of the probationary period, all Employees who work greater than twenty-four (24) hours per week shall be considered probationary for a period of up to three (3) calendar months following date of appointment to the University.

  • New Employee Orientation The Union will provide each agency personnel director with the names and addresses of up to two (2) authorized Union representatives per agency to receive notice of each formal orientation meeting held by the Department. The notice will be sent as soon as such meetings are scheduled (but not less than ten (10) days in advance) and will include date, time and location. Due to operational exigencies, agencies may schedule an orientation which will provide the Union with less than the requisite ten (10) days' notice; however the Union shall be notified as soon as possible after the scheduling of the orientation and the Union representative shall be released from duty. Agencies shall routinely schedule orientations in a manner that will allow for the ten (10) day advance notice to the Union. During the formal orientation, the Union will be permitted to give a twenty (20) minute presentation which may include an enrollment in supplemental Union benefits. The parties shall encourage employee attendance, although attendance shall not be mandatory if an employee objects to attending the presentation. In the event a formal orientation meeting is not held, or the Union is unable to attend the formal orientation because the designated Union representatives cannot be released under Article 4, the Employer shall allow the Union representative and the employee(s) to meet during duty hours at a mutually agreed upon time and location for twenty (20) minutes Employee participation in these meetings shall be encouraged although an employee shall not be required to attend such a meeting.
