Conscientious Objection. 17 The Employer and the Union recognize the rights of individuals to refuse to participate directly in therapeutic abortion procedures. Employees who wish to exercise those rights shall submit their written request to the Employer. The Employer shall honor such requests by making reasonable accommodation, except in an emergency situation, where the immediate nature of the patient’s needs and rights shall take precedence over exercise of the employee’s rights.
Conscientious Objection. Any employee who is a member of and adheres to established and traditional tenets or teachings of a bona fide religion, body or sect which has historically held conscientious objections to joining or financially supporting labor organizations shall not be required to join or financially support the Union as a condition of employment; except that such employee shall be required in lieu of periodic dues and initiation fees or service fees to pay to a non-religious, non-labor organization charitable fund exempt from taxation under Section 501 (c)(3 ) of Title 26, the sum equal to such dues and initiation fees or service fees at the same time requirements as applies to employees who join and become members of the Union, or who pay a service fee. Failure to abide by these time limits and furnishings proof thereof to the Union shall subject the employee to be terminated from employment. Evidence ofpayment shall be furnished by the employee.
Conscientious Objection a. The rights of patients to receive necessary nursing care and the obligation of the County to render such care must be recognized and respected. In the case of therapeutic abortions or family planning counseling, the nursing profession accepts the obligation of providing competent nursing care as a major responsibility; however, it is recognized that a Registered Nurse may hold sincere moral or religious beliefs which require the nurse in good conscience to refuse participation in such procedure or counseling.
Conscientious Objection. 53.1 If a Player does not wish to perform any particular Employment Services on the basis of a conscientious objection (which for the avoidance of doubt means genuine family, ethical or religious grounds but does not include her own commercial interests), the Player may request that the NZRU consent to the Player being excused from that activity, such consent not to be unreasonably withheld.

Conscientious Objection. The Hospital will continue the current practice of attempting to accommodate sincere moral or religious objections that may require an employee in good conscience to refuse direct participation in cases of withdrawal of life support systems. The Parties recognize, however, that patient care needs may require the Hospital to refuse such accommodations if reasonable alternatives are not available for the care of the patient.
