European projects. There have been numerous projects in the field of hydrogen technologies, dealing with the production, storage and usage of hydrogen in wide-ranging maturities, from basic research to demonstration and market introduction activities. A close coordination between public and private stakeholders has been essential to implement these projects, specially fostered by the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) -since 2008. The FCH-JU has been issued by the European Commission and the industry and research community organized in Hydrogen Europe and N.ERGHY. It is for this reason so they have been taken into account as well. The data of publically co-funded projects on FCH technologies was collected by means of (i) on-line research (xxx.xxx.xxxxxx.xx/xxxxx-xxxxxxxx, xxx.xxx-xxxx.xx, xxx.xxxxxx.xxxxxx.xx/xxxxxxxx and project websites) and, (ii) validation of specific project information through contacting project coordinators when required. In order to create a broader picture of the identified projects and to allow the selection of a representative sample of projects, the following characteristics were analysed for all projects:  Countries with p...
