Exemptions or Exceptions. Employees who were eligible for a take-home vehicle at no charge based on Special Assignment immediately proceeding the October 1, 2007 effective date shall be exempt from the mileage reimbursement based on the October 1, 2007 residence until the special assignment ends. If such employee relocates further from City limits subsequent to October 1, 2007, he or she shall be responsible for mileage reimbursement only for the differential from the original residence. Upon completion of the special assignment, such employee shall be responsible for full mileage reimbursement, pursuant to Section J.1. above. Employees in Special Assignments that require use of a take-home vehicle, as determined by the Chief of Police, are exempt from the mileage reimbursement requirement through the duration of the Special Assignment.
