Extended/Overnight Trips. Driver employees who perform an extended or overnight trip shall be paid for all hours when they are on duty during the trip. Drivers will be off duty for no more than ten (10) consecutive hours in any twenty-four-hour period. Overnight lodging expenses shall be paid by the District consistent with District procedures.

If such extra trips are not contiguous with 18 normally assigned working shifts (assignment(s), the driver and transportation assistant will 19 be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours, provided that when time actually required for such 20 extra trips is less than two (2) hours, the driver and transportation assistant may be assigned 21 to other driver/transportation assistant duties for the balance of the time. 23 Added title; moved from second paragraph current 7.12
