Extensions of Probationary Periods. Any single or cumulative period of absence from work, with or without leave, of 120 hours or more shall automatically extend the probationary period by the cumulative duration of the absence. In addition, the Authority may extend any initial probationary period for up to an additional 90 days, if, in its discretion, additional time is needed to fully evaluate or address specific job performance concerns.
Extensions of Probationary Periods may be granted by the Employer under the following circumstances: A. When the new hire does not complete the probationary period within the one (1) year period from the employee’s date of hire (anniversarydate). B. When the Employer and the Union mutually agree that an extension of the probationary period would be in the best interest of the Employer and the employee.

  • Meal Periods (a) Meal periods shall be scheduled as close as possible to the middle of the scheduled hours of work. The length of the meal period shall be agreed to at the local level and shall be not less than 30 minutes nor more than 60 minutes. (b) An employee shall be entitled to take their meal period away from the workstation. Where this cannot be done, the meal period shall be considered as time worked.

  • Extensions of Time 34.1 If at any time during performance of the Contract, the Supplier or its subcontractors should encounter conditions impeding timely delivery of the Goods or completion of Related Services pursuant to GCC Clause 13, the Supplier shall promptly notify the Procuring Entity in writing of the delay, its likely duration, and its cause.   • DELAYS AND EXTENSIONS OF TIME 8.3.1 If the Contractor is delayed at any time in the progress of the Work by any act or failure to act by the State or the Architect, or by any employee of either, or by any separate contractor employed by the State, or by changes ordered in the Work, fire, unusual delay in transportation, adverse weather conditions not reasonably anticipatable, unavoidable casualties, or any causes beyond the Contractor's control, or by delay authorized by the State pending alternative dispute resolution proceedings, or by any other cause which may justify the delay, then the Contract Time shall be extended by Change Order for such reasonable time as recommended by the Architect and approved by the State. 8.3.2 Any claim for extension of time shall be made in writing to the Architect not more than twenty days after the commencement of the delay; otherwise it shall be waived. In the case of a continuing delay only one claim is necessary. The Contractor shall provide an estimate of the probable effect of such delay on the progress of the Work. 8.3.3 This Paragraph 8.3 does not exclude the recovery of damages for delay by either party under other provisions of the Contract Documents.

  • Renewal Periods Renewal of registered names may be made in one (1) year increments for up to a maximum of ten (10) years. For the avoidance of doubt, renewal of registered names may not extend their registration period beyond ten (10) years from the time of the renewal.
