Common use of Extensive accumulated annual leave Clause in Contracts

Extensive accumulated annual leave. The employer can direct an employee to take an amount of annual leave during a particular period if: • the employee has accrued annual leave of more than 1/13 of the number of nominal hours worked by the employee for the employer during the period of 104 weeks preceding the time that the direction is given; and • the amount of annual leave the employee is directed to take is less than, or equal to, ¼ of the amount of accrued annual leave the employee has at the time the direction is given.

Extensive accumulated annual leave. The employer can direct an employee to take an amount of annual leave during a particular period if: • ▪ the employee has accrued annual leave of more than 1/13 of the number of nominal hours worked by the employee for the employer during the period of 104 weeks preceding the time that the direction is givengiven (this equates to an accrued annual leave entitlement of two months); and • ▪ the amount of annual leave the employee is directed to take is less than, or equal to, ¼ 1/4 of the amount of accrued annual leave the employee has at the time the direction is givengiven (this equates to a taking of two week’s annual leave).
