FACULTY STEERING COMMITTEE.
3.01 The steering committee may be established in a school for considering various areas such as, but not limited to, student discipline, faculty meetings, school rules, and health and safety items. It is understood that the committee shall act in an advisory capacity to the principal.
3.02 A steering committee will be created if the majority of the teachers in a school determine by secret ballot that such a committee would be appropriate to their needs. The Association Representative shall be in charge of said election. Any steering committee thus created shall consist of not less than five (5) nor more than ten (10) teachers elected by secret ballot.
3.03 The steering committee may meet during the regular duty day at such times, as committee members have no student contact. The steering committee may meet with other teachers and may meet as a group without the principal, during the regular duty day at such times as committee members or the teachers have no student contact.
FACULTY STEERING COMMITTEE. 18.11.1 There shall be ESP representation elected by the ESP faculty on each school faculty steering committee. Since participation by ESP representatives shall be voluntary, there is no requirement for salary payment for this committee work beyond the normal workday.
FACULTY STEERING COMMITTEE. 6.6.1 The faculty at each work location shall elect a faculty steering committee that includes teacher representation elected from each department or grade level, and special services areas. The principal shall have the authority to appoint additional at large members.
6.6.2 The purpose of this committee is to act in an advisory capacity to the building administrator. The committee shall meet on a monthly basis to provide faculty input in developing an administration-faculty team approach to solving problems, making improvements, and arriving at decisions in areas affecting the general faculty and/or student body. Minutes from all Steering Committee meetings shall be published and distributed.
6.6.3 The principal shall, upon request, provide the Steering Committee or any individual faculty or staff member with a printed accounting of the school’s internal accounts.
6.6.4 The faculty steering committee, in addition to its general advisory function, shall have the specific responsibilities to assist the building administrator in the following areas:

The committee representative will be selected annually by CTA members at each site.
