Common use of Family Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Family Sick Leave. Regular full-time employees will be eligible to use up to 50% of their annual sick leave accrual to care for dependent child, spouse or parent due to illness. If an IBEW 1245 unit employee has an accrued balance of 24 days (192 hours) of sick leave, he/she shall be eligible to use an additional day (for a total of 7 days for full-time employees) for family sick leave. The accrued balance will be evaluated based on the pay period prior to the family sick leave use.
