Common use of Fares and Travel Allowance Clause in Contracts

Fares and Travel Allowance. All Employees shall be entitled to receive the fares and travel allowance in accordance with clause 25 of their Award, which is at the following rates for Construction Workers: A leading hand is an Employee who is given by the Employer, or the Employer's agent, the responsibility of directing and/or supervising the work of one or more other persons. A person specifically appointed to be a leading hand, will be paid for all purposes, the leading hand allowance appropriate for the number of persons in the Employee's charge. Additionally, a leading hand will be paid at the hourly rate of the highest classification supervised or the Employee's own hourly rate, whichever is the highest.
